Programs, Campus and Accommodation
The university is home to four colleges or faculties which are the Arts, Science and Letters, the Business, the Education, Health and Human Services and the Engineering and Computer Science Colleges. These colleges jointly offer a plethora of courses for international applicants which includes 74 major programs, 43 masters programs, eight doctoral and 81 minor programs.
There is a total of more than 80 major and pre-professional undergraduate programs and their specializations, ranging from Actuarial Mathematics, through Biochemistry, Sociology, Educational Studies, Bioengineering, Data Science and Pre-Medicine to Pre-Veterinary. The institute also provides a series of online undergraduate and graduate courses.
The organization also provides various certificate and research programs like African and African American Studies, Geographic Information System, LGBTQ studies, Software Engineering, etc. At the graduate level, there are 53 online, face to face and Dual-Degree programs alsoa avilable for apsirajts to chosoe from.
The University of Michigan, Dearborn operates one main suburban campus with an estimated land size of just over 200 acres along with the subordinating Fairlane Campus containing the Fairlane Center North (FCN) and the Fairlane Center South (FCS) amongst a few other buildings. The Fairlane Campus is located at 19000 Hubbard Drive, just half a mile east of the main campus.
The main campus serves all the structural teaching, research, administration and accommodating needs of the school. The main campus is made up of more than 29 campus buildings and structures including an off-site location, which is the Early Childhood Education Center located just three miles from the campus. From the North entrance of the main campus, some of the buildings include the Graduate Admissions Office, the Administration Building, Social Sciences Building, the Engineering Lab Building (which is still under construction), among others.
There are a lot of parking lots around the campus with a paying fee of 0.50 USD per hour. Shuttle services also run on the campus, stopping intermittently at designated stops.
Housing at the institute is available for students who wish to stay on-campus and off-campus. Residence on-campus is provided by the Union and all on-campus living conditions are independently catered for by the Union. Each loft or apartment housing option comes with a unique full set of furnished rooms, bathrooms and kitchens.
On-Campus Residence: There are apartment and loft styles divided into five categories of palms options for on-campus residence for the 2020/2021 academic session. These floorplans include Studio, one bedroom, two bedrooms, three bedrooms, and four bedrooms apartments. The averge cost of on-campus housing is nerly 7,420 to 12,240 USD, per academic year.
The orgzanization helps students in locating some off-campus housing options close to the school. They are the Fairlane Woods apartments and the Fairlane Meadow Apartments and Townhomes.
However, there are several rental options around Dearborn and Michigan that students can also opt for. The average rent of an apartment in Dearborn is 17,112 USD on a 12-month basis.

The University of Michigan -Dearborn provides several private and publicly financed financial aids to both domestic and international students. However, students must meet certain criteria attached to each scholarship before they can be qualified and considered for that particular aid. - International Undergraduate Scholarship: This award is for one full-time international student who has a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, IELTS, MELAB and TOEFL (iBT) scores of not less than 6.5, 76 and 80 respectively. Work While You Study
International students do not qualify for the federal work-study program, thus, they do not qualify for most jobs on-campus or off-campus. However, international students can apply for non-work-study jobs at careers.umich.edu and they can also apply for internships and college co-ops where they'll earn fee waivers or cash.
Applications, especially internships and co-ops, are to be directed to the specific department where the student is eligible to work.

The Automotive program at UM Dearborn is very well structured and industry orientated. The professors are highly qualified with a lot of on campus research opportunities. The affordable Michigan Degree makes it a very good choice for international students.
Course Curriculum :
The course curriculum is diverse with courses from Automotive, Mechanical, Electronics, Industrial and Material Science. The overall coursework is moderately tough. Some courses are easy and directly leads to 'A' grade while some courses are insanely tough.
After my 12th I was looking for colleges to pursue a Bachelor of Accounting, so my cousin suggested Michigan-Dearborn as he was an alumnus of this illustrious educational institute, and is currently working in a company in the US. My admission process was quite swift and it happened within a few weeks. I applied online paying an application fee of $60 with my test scores of SAT and IELTS, transcripts, statement of purpose, letter of reference, financial documentation.
Course Curriculum :
The course is focused on core areas of accounting such as cost accounting, auditing, federal income taxation, advanced corporate finance, intermediate financial accounting with a strong emphasis on effective communication skills, developing critical thinking, leadership, and ethical practices.
While fundamentals remain the same, leadership, communication, collaboration, innovation, problem-solving, the language used in business, and the tools that help support success continue to evolve. They offer programs to help professionals stay up to date on how to respond to those changes. My GPA was 7. I had submitted a common application form.

The Master of Science in Accounting provides specialized training for successful careers in corporate accounting, controllership, and public accounting. All other University of Michigan-Dearborn students who have been admitted to the MS in Accounting may take up to 6 graduate credits during the final semester of their undergraduate program.
