Kenyon College International Admissions

For fall 2018 semester, around 17% international students enrolled with the college. The admissions procedure for both resident and international applicants is similar. However, international applicants need to submit additional documents for admissions.

Admission Requirements for International Students

  • High school transcripts and certificates
  • Official test scores
    • Official test scores must be submitted by a school administrator or the testing organization.
    • Test scores on the school transcripts are also accepted.
  • Official Letter of recommendations should be submitted
    • 1 Teacher’s recommendation letter
    • 1 Counselor’s recommendation letter
  • All the students must demonstrate English proficiency to obtain admission
  • GPA
  • Students seeking admission have to provide proof of financial support.
  • Standardized Test Scores should be submitted

English Proficiency Test Score

The students can fulfill the English proficiency requirement by submitting one of the following test scores. The minimum required scores for undergraduate programs are given below.

Visa Process for International Students

  • To apply for a visa, the first step in beginning the J/F status visa process is for the Responsible Officer (RO) or Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO) at Kenyon to provide the prospective exchange visitor a DS 2019 form.
  • The prospective exchange visitor must then complete the DS-160 online Non-immigrant Visa Application. Forms the applicant will need at hand to complete the DS-160 include:
  • The documents required are as follows:
    • Passport
    • Travel itinerary
    • Résumé or Curriculum Vitae
    • Dates of last five visits or trips to the United States, if applicable.
  • After that, Applicants have to apply for the F-1 or J-1 visa.
  • Personal interviews are scheduled at the embassy or consulate at which the applicant wishes to apply.

Kenyon College Undergraduate Admissions

Kenyon College, USA offers various Undergraduate programs and courses in 18 different departments and disciples including philosophy, physics, Literature, Environmental studies, etc. The College also offers 13 interdisciplinary programs.     • Maths, English, Foreign Language, Science, Social Studies- 4 Units
  • Teacher evaluation
  • SAT/ACT, the college does not have a preference and in cases, where both the scores are sent, standardized test with higher scores is considered for the admission decision.
    • SAT mean range: EWRB- 640-730; Maths- 640-740
    • ACT mean range- 29-33
  • International Students are required to submit an English proficiency test score.

Official transcripts and other documents should be mailed at admission@kenyon.edu by February 15. Ealy decision I and II are binding in nature and only the students prioritizing the college are suggested to apply for admissions by the early decision deadlines. The university has a selective admissions policy. Students are suggested to apply with competitive ACT/SAT and GPA. The applicants prioritizing Kenyon college must aim at scoring at least average GPA and standardized test scores.
