Juniata College International Admissions

Juniata College requires international applicants to fulfill the following admission requirements:

  • Submission of the Common Application form along with the personal essay.
  • All the academic records/transcripts from the previously attended institution(s).
    • Official transcripts that are not in English must be accompanied along with acceptable English translations.
    • Transcripts must be evaluated by credited evaluation services like WES
  • Submission of standardized test scores, as per course requirements
    • SAT/ACT for undergraduate programs
    • GMAT/GRE for graduate programs
  • Proof of English proficiency for non-native English speakers
  • Academic or professional letter(s) of recommendation are mandatory.
  • Applicants must provide appropriate documentation to show that they will have sufficient financial support to attend the college.

Conditional Admissions

Applicants who meet all the admission requirements except for English proficiency may be qualified for conditional admission. These applicants are required to enroll in Juniata's Intensive English Program before beginning degree classes.

Visa Process for International Students

International applicants will be issued Form I-20 (if applying for an F-1 visa) or a Form DS-2019 (if applying for a J-1 visa) by Juniata College. Applicants must provide the following documents to receive the Form I-20:

  • Copy of passport
  • Visa Information Form
  • Proof of financial support
  • Sponsor Letter, if applicable

Applicants who receive their Form I-20 or DS-2019 can proceed to apply for a visa at a US consulate or embassy closest to you. In order to support visa requests, applicants are required to confirm the payment of I-901 Remittance Fee for Certain F, J, and M Non-immigrant Visas.
