Dallas is close enough to home for me that I feel comfortable, but far enough that I could get away from my family for a little bit and be on my own. But in the end, I chose UD mostly for Financial Reasons, they gave me really good scholarships.
The liberal arts education is nice and very interesting! I have learned a lot of things that I am happy to have been able to be taught (I would not have understood or even attempted to understand on my own) but sometimes overwhelming. It is also based heavily on the classics and ignores some of the gems that contemporary works have to offer.
