Millsaps College is a private institution, founded in the year 1890 by the Methodist Church as a Christian college for young men. The bachelor’s and master’s courses are offered on-campus. Degrees such as Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Science, Master of Accountancy and Masters of Business Administration are offered by the college.

Master’s degree of Millsaps College is offered by the Else School of Management. It is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges and the business programs by AACSB International.

Millsaps College Programs, Campus and Residence

Campus and Residence

Millsaps College has a single campus located in the Jackson area with on-campus residence facility.

  • The college offers housing services to the students in through these residence halls: Becky Bacot Hall, Ezelle Hall, Goodman House, New South Hall, Sanderson Hall and John, Charles and Susanna Halls.
  • All freshmen or sophomores are mandatorily required to live in college residence halls
  • Residence hall rooms are designed to house two individuals each and single rooms as per availability

Programs

Millsaps College offers 185 bachelor’s degrees across various disciplines and 35 Master’s degrees in Accounting and Business discipline.

  • Over 33 majors and 47 minors including the option for Self-designed major programs are offered by the Millsaps College.
  • The areas of study include Accounting, Business, Arts, Science, Economics, English, Education, History, Mathematics, Psychology and Social Sciences.
  • There are a total of 97 full-time faculty members.

Millsaps College Application Process

Application Portal: Students are required to apply through theCommon Application or the Millsaps Freshman Application.

Application Fee: There is no application fee for applicants to apply for admissions

Application Deadline: Application for fall semester is accepted in May and for the spring semester in November.

Admission Requirements: Admission process of Millsaps College involves the submission of a completed application, including the following supporting documents through the International Qualifications Self-Report Form:

  • A copy of the secondary/ high school transcripts in the original language. It should be accompanied by English certified translation, if applicable
  • Test scores such as national examination result of SAT, ACT, IB, AP, IGCSE/ GCSE/ GCE scores
  • Secondary education in English instructed curriculum (min. 2 years)
  • I-20 Financial Support Form

English Proficiency Requirements: International students are required to demonstrate proficiency in the English language by submitting TOEFL, IELTS or GTEC test scores. Secondary education in English instructed curriculum (min. 2 years)

    I am currently a junior at Millsaps College. My time at Millsaps has been full of personal, leadership and educational development. I am involved on campus in a wide range of areas, from working in the Library, heading student organizations and working as a resident assistant. I am grateful to Millsaps for providing a wide range of opportunities for all students to participate and grow both as scholars and future leaders of the world.


    Course Curriculum - 

    I am getting a chance to study the application of modern investigative techniques in several biological areas. The curriculum also offers me a specialization in microbiology, cellular, developmental, environmental and evolutionary biology.
