Visa Process for International Students

One who seeks admission at Texas Tech needs an F-1 or J-1 visa to study in the US. For visa application, the applicant is required to have I-20 "Certificate of Eligibility," issued by the admitting institution.

  • International Applicants will be provided an I-20 form by the Texas Tech University. Applicants can proceed for the Visa Application process after receiving the I-20 form.
  • The applicant needs to pay the SEVIS fee before applying for a student visa.
  • Students need to apply at their local US embassy as early as possible.
