Programs, Campus and Accommodation

Campus and Residence

The CUNY Brooklyn College has a wide campus constructed on 26 acres comprising Classical and Georgian style buildings. The college consists of classrooms, lecture halls, art studios, science laboratories. The college has recently acquired 35 acres of land as a construction site.

The adjacent terrace consists of Library Café for reading, snacking, and relaxing. There are over 150 student clubs and organizations as well as intramural sports for students to choose from and be a part of.

CUNY Brooklyn College doesn’t provide on-campus housing facilities. Students can live off-campus and Brooklyn college provides information for finding housing in Brooklyn New York. The options provided include privately owned and operated properties.

Candidates must visit the New York City government website along with filing the residency application forms. International candidates must also submit supporting documents which include residency form and documents to the Office of International Student Services.

Cousres, Faculties, and Divisions

The CUNY Brooklyn College offers an array of courses for international students including undergraduate and graduate programs in different fields. The college offers undergraduate programs in 82 programs in fields of engineering, law, and medicine. On the other hand, it offers 74 graduate programs in the fields of business, education, humanities, creative, the sciences, the visual and performing arts.

The institute also provides various certificate courses for its applicants. The most popular majors offered at the college are- Business Administration and Management, Biomedical sciences, Accounting and Psychology.

It's Graduate theatre program is one of the highly reputed and ranked courses of the CUNY system and also stand at #14 in the country. The college’s B.A.–M.D. program is a highly competitive 8-year program under the affiliation of SUNY Downstate Medical Center that selects hardly 15 deserving candidates every year.

Basic Admission Requirements:

Scholarships and Financial Aid

CUNY Brooklyn college offers over 600 awards, prizes and scholarships for international students to study in the USA. Eligible candidates are required to fill the FAFSA application by February 13, 2020. Besides, students are also granted external scholarships that they can search by visiting the external scholarship under its link.

Some of the stuneshups available to the candidates of the college are as compiled below.

  • Brooklyn College Foundation Presidential Scholarship Program: This scholarship allows students to access world-class professors and top-quality programs and courses. The eligibility criteria for the scholarship are that the student must have applied to Brooklyn College and be accepted as a matriculated student. They must have a minimum of 30 credits per academic year. Besides, they must have a minimum GPA of 3.00 for freshman year and 3.20 each in the semester.
  • The Brooklyn College Alumni Association Student Award: This award is provided to full-time graduates with a minimum GPA of 3.00 and for the full-time undergraduates, the minimum GPA requirement is 2.50 who wish to commit to serving the fellow students.
  • Tow Undergraduate and Graduate International Research Stipends (grant): The student under the Tow Undergraduate and Graduate International Research Stipends allow researching settings outside of the United States.

Eligibility criterion

Work While You Study

Students enrolled in CUNY Brooklyn College are allowed to participate in the Federal Work-Study (FWS), internships, and Human Resource Association (HRA) Fellowship Program (HFP). Students will be assisted by CUNY Brooklyn College job developer and career specialists. They provide the following assistance:

    Personally, because no one I knew went here, so I wanted a fresh start. Additionally, the school is drastically getting better. I also realized this was the best school for me because of my major. I can graduate on time here.


    Course Curriculum - 

    Could be better and more hands-on, there should be more classes that teach you relevant skills in demand in the real-life work industry, rather than just teaching us basics that are quite redundant.
