STUDYING @ HOLY NAMES UNIVERSITY

I came across Oakland while looking for colleges that offer courses with a career-oriented perspective. The link for the application was available on the website. I filled the form and submitted a fee of $20 for the same. Oakland follows a rolling admission process so I applied beforehand and submitted my essay along with the application.

Course Curriculum -

My Criminology course curriculum studies the etiology, prevention, control, and treatment of crime and criminal behavior. The curriculum studies have been closely aligned with the discipline of sociology, and the focuses on the social origins of crime and criminal behavior, as well as societal reactions towards it. It also consists of a combination of sociology and psychology coursework, as well as several courses dealing specifically with the subject of crime and criminal justice.
