University of Connecticut International Student’s Admissions

Checklist for International Students

  • Apply through the Common Application or Coalition Application.
  • High school transcript(s) and Postsecondary transcript(s) to be sent directly to the university via email or sealed envelope.
  • Original academic credentials that are not in English should have verified English translation attached with it.
  • English Proficiency Test score and GRE/ GMAT score should be sent directly to the university by the Testing agency.
  • A personal essay of 250-650 words.
  • Two letters of Recommendation (optional) to be sent via email, fax or post mail.

Requirements for International Students Visa

  • Once the university releases the letter of admission of a student, his/her Form I-20 will be issued. Form I-20 will enable the student to apply for the F-1 visa which is required to study in the US.
  • Submission of 200 USD as the visa application fee.
  • Completion of Financial declaration form.
  • Copy of Passport.
