- My university provides various opportunities for research and teaching assistantships which would help in boosting the academic profile
- It has various streams and also make it flexible for the students to choose their own subjects and electives depending upon their course curriculum and interests
- My university is open to various clubs which help in building student relationships and offer support and guidance to peers and juniors
Dislikes
- I wish they had a lil better curriculum
- I feel a lot of events and cultural clubs can be formed to promote international students and their community
- I hope the international student services department to be more supportive of students in crisis times to help students with cpt or opt applications
Campus Life
- I had a great time being a chief member at arrival to thrival and cultural coding club which help my peers to understand the cocnepts even more, firther more we also conducted several cultural festivals like Ugadi, dussehra nd diwali with traditional pooja, food and music.
- Yes we do have a huge library with so much space and facilities, sports, yes, we have basketball and football and many other activities and a huge block containing medical services which is included in the insurance part.
- We have several clubs including the ISS Club, arrival to thrival club, pace club seveal international student organisations and they were so much fun to participate
Fees
- Semester wise 10,000$ and last semester only 4000$ it is credit based, and depends on the curriculum, it varies from course to course. On my i20 including the house expenses it was quoted as 45000$ as the complete charges but if you live off campus it is more affordable. I live off campus with my friends and it is 350$ for the house rent and it would be extra 200 $ on the utilities and groceries, transportation if free from where i live- sanmarco apartments boca to fau.

- Some Professors are great, you'll learn a lot, Some professors teach more theoretical concepts, with little practical use. University has good number of On-campus Part time jobs like TA's, GA's, etc. University & Florida in-general is very safe. Campus is big and different events takes place every week. There are number of indian & International students studying & living in the area. Good number of Indian Restaurants avialable.
Dislikes
- Pick subjects after speaking with seniors, so you can get good professors, else waste of money. Nothing else that I can think of.
Campus Life
- There are a large number of clubs, events, and facilities available. You can make the most of it if you are interested.
Fees
- 40k for a master's program in general. you can complete it in 1 year if you want to. people do it in 18 months.

Campus Life
- Boca Raton has the main campus. There are a lot of clubs to join. We have almost all the facilities at the campus.
Fees
- $3000 for 3 credits, approx. 30 Credits in total.
Likes
- There are a lot of opportunities for students who want to go for research/PhD after their masters.
- Campus is huge and there are some really good facilities like gym, sports, medical, cafeteria etc.
- Most of the professors at least in EECS department are good, in terms of their teaching style.
Dislikes
- On-Campus jobs hiring process is broken, you need to know people to get an on campus job here, everything works on referral and luck. It does not depend on your qualifications.
- Assistantships are difficult to get and they have a preference for PhD students, odds for a fresh grad student to get a TA/RA position is less.
- Department operations is too slow. For approving a CPT they need a month, one of my friend had to wait for a month to get his CPT approved, he had to convince his company to extend the joining date. This can create a lot of problems for students.
Campus Life
- FAU has Five campuses all over south Florida : Boca Raton, Davie, Fort Lauderdale, Harbor Branch and Jupiter.
- There are several facilities like dining, on-campus housing, library, sports area, rock climbing, archery, gym, student union building, several study areas, etc.
- Program board organizes most of the campus events; there is a barbeque that happens every fall semester organized by the CS department; American Football is the biggest event on campus; and there are tailgates every time there is a sporting event.
- There are various clubs like the archery club, rock climbing club, literature club, etc.
Fees
- To graduate we need to complete 30 credits, which is 10 courses in total (since 1 course is 3 credits). per course fees are around 3000 USD which includes in-state and out-of-state fees. in total 30 credits will cost you around 30000 USD as Tuition for the entire program.
- Fees are charged semester-wise.
- Boca Raton is expensive in terms of rent so depending on your lifestyle, a shared room with 1 to 3 roommates can cost you between 700 USD per month and 300 USD per month. A single room can cost you between 900 USD and 1600 USD. Depending on your lifestyle, you can expect 1500 to 3000 per month for your living expenses.

- I couldn’t afford my HBCU Oakwood University anymore so I moved to a public university that was cheaper and would allow me to learn more than I did before.
Overview
I love my university. I spend a lot of my time sitting by the water watching the birds fly over my head. The faculty especially in my department of social work are very understanding and they work with you. They listen to you and try to provide the best care they can, so that you can be successful.
Campus Life
As a commuter I try my best to go to class and hop on the train and go home. But they do have various clubs and extracurricular activities. I am involved in the students of social work leadership team now and I’m able to network with others.
Overview
I chose this college because of the location as well as the programs I was looking into. I also chose Florida Atlantic University because I needed a change of scenery and I was accepted right after I received my Associates in Arts.
Fees
The fee structure and other charges for a student attending Florida Atlantic University are pretty high up there. The dorms cost a lot and you get charged for a lot of things you personally may never use. For example the trolly or the gym and stuff.
Overview
I opted for this college because of its location I wanted to be close to home enough that I could drive to school and live at home on a daily basis. Also, the cost of a local school was much cheaper than any other.
Fees
Online classes cost more than in person classes which does not make sense to me but we also pay for the gym which is not a choice, unfortunately.
