• PG academic floor: A 4-year Bachelor’s degree (or a 3-year Bachelor’s plus a 1-year Master’s) with an absolute 3.0 GPA, roughly 60-65% in Indian terms.

UCF English Proficiency Minimums for Indian Applicants

UCF IELTS and TOEFL Waiver for Indian Students

Indian applicants can skip the English test in three verified cases published by UCF:

• You already hold a degree from a country where English is the sole official language (India does not qualify by this route on its own).
• You completed Level 8 of UCF’s Intensive English Program with a B or higher.
• You scored a 68 or above in every sub-score on UCF Global’s Pearson Benchmark English Proficiency assessment.

Applicants whose entire Bachelor’s was taught in English-medium at an Indian university do not automatically qualify — UCF asks for a formal Medium-of-Instruction letter and reserves the right to insist on IELTS or TOEFL if the transcript is unclear.

UCF PG Programs and English Scores

UCF’s most-applied master’s programs for Indian students cluster in the College of Engineering and Computer Science and the College of Business. UCF admits Indian freshmen into all 100+ undergraduate majors; the most-applied paths for Indian students sit in Engineering, Computing, Business, and Hospitality. Popular BS programs are 4 years and share a common Class XII floor.

Indian freshmen typically enter with an aggregate above 75% in Class XII to be competitive against domestic Florida applicants who apply with strong US Grade 12 GPAs.

UCF’s College of Business runs three MBA formats — the Professional MBA (weekend cohort), the Evening MBA, and the Executive MBA. All three drop the GMAT and GRE for 2027, keeping the Executive MBA GMAT-optional in line with the college’s recent policy shift.

• Interview format is a 30-minute video call with the MBA Director; typical shortlist notification runs 4 to 6 weeks after submission.

UCF Application Process Step by Step

The undergraduate and graduate paths use two different portals — freshmen pick between the Common Application and UCF’s own form, while master’s and doctoral candidates go through the UCF Graduate Application on ApplyNow. Steps below assume a Fall 2027 international application.

1. Pick your portal. Freshmen file on the Common Application (open since 31 July 2026 for the 2026 to 2027 cycle) or the UCF Undergraduate Application. Master’s and PhD candidates use the UCF Graduate Application only.
2. Pay the application fee of USD 30 (around INR 2,873) on the UCF ApplyNow portal or Common App; the fee is non-refundable.
3. Send your TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo score through the testing agency using UCF’s institution code 5233.
4. Order a course-by-course credential evaluation from WES, Josef Silny, or The Evaluation Company; UCF will not accept transcripts directly from Indian universities.
5. Upload supporting documents — Statement of Purpose, CV, LORs (2 to 3), passport bio page, and any programme-specific supplements.
6. Submit financial documentation for I-20 issuance once you receive the offer letter, showing at least USD 46,375 (INR 44.40 Lakhs) for a standard graduate programme.
7. Await decision — freshmen Early Action decisions land 4 December 2026; graduate decisions arrive within 6 to 8 weeks of a completed file.

University of Central Florida Documents Required

Missing paperwork is the single largest source of Indian application delays at UCF. Assemble this checklist before you file, not after.

• Passport bio page: Valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended course-start date.
• Class X and Class XII mark sheets plus board-issued passing certificates (freshmen).
• Bachelor’s transcripts and degree certificate (PG applicants); a course-by-course WES, Josef Silny, or The Evaluation Company evaluation is mandatory.
• Statement of Purpose of 500 to 1,000 words tailored to your chosen UCF programme.
• Two to three Letters of Recommendation from professors or direct managers, submitted via the portal.
• CV or resume covering academics, projects, publications, and work experience.
• Standardised test score reports — SAT/ACT for freshmen (test-flexible), GRE/GMAT for programmes that require it, and English proficiency for all Indian applicants.
• Financial statement in liquid form (savings, FD, education loan sanction) covering annual costs; must be dated within one year of course start.
• Certified English translations of any non-English document.

Admission Decision Timeline

• Early Action freshmen: Decision by 4 December 2026; response due by 1 May 2027.
• Regular international UG: Rolling decisions from January 2027; enrolment deposit due within 3 weeks of offer.
• Graduate (Fall 2027): Decisions issued on a rolling basis from mid-February; formal acceptance and enrolment deposit due within 4 weeks of the offer letter.
