On the auspicious occasion of Krishna Janmashtami, the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Bihar, Shri Samrat Choudhary, formally inaugurated the CIMAGE IT Park at the CIMAGE campus in Patna. The grand inauguration ceremony, held alongside the institution's Janmashtami Mahotsav, marks a significant milestone in Bihar's push towards technology-driven education, innovation, and employment generation.

The Chief Minister unveiled the ceremonial plaque before a large gathering of ministers, dignitaries, industry representatives, students, parents, and faculty members, officially opening what CIMAGE describes as a future-ready technology ecosystem for Bihar's youth.

Dignitaries in Attendance
The event witnessed the presence of several prominent leaders of the state, including:
∙ Shri Awadhesh Narayan Singh, Hon'ble Chairman, Bihar Legislative Council ∙ Shri Ashok Choudhary, Hon'ble Minister of Food and Consumer Protection ∙ Shri Sanjay Singh "Tiger", Hon'ble Minister of Higher Education
∙ Shri Nitish Mishra, Hon'ble Minister of Information Technology
∙ Smt. Sheela Kumari, Hon'ble Minister of Science, Technology and Technical Education ∙ Shri Sanjay Saraogi, Hon'ble State President, Bharatiya Janata Party (Bihar)
A Floor-by-Floor Tour of the IT Park
After the formal unveiling, the Chief Minister toured the entire IT Park — from the ground floor to the eighth — and inspected the advanced facilities established on campus, including the Artificial Intelligence (Google AI) Lab, the Wipro Centre of Excellence, the IIT Bombay e Yantra Lab, and the Cisco Cyber Security Lab.

During the visit, he observed live technical project demonstrations by students and interacted with them directly, asking about their projects, technical interests, and future plans, while encouraging them to keep learning and innovating in new and emerging technologies. Impressed by what he saw, the Chief Minister described the campus as "यह ज्ञान का भंडार है" — "a treasure house of knowledge."
"Imagine 100 CIMAGEs Across Bihar"
Addressing students and parents at the Janmashtami Mahotsav, Shri Samrat Choudhary praised CIMAGE's contribution to education, technology, and skill development in Bihar. He stated that
Bihar today needs more institutions like CIMAGE — institutions that provide quality education along with modern technology, practical knowledge, and employment-oriented skills.
Sharing his vision for the state, he urged the audience to imagine at least 100 technology centres modelled on CIMAGE spread across Bihar. He also congratulated the Industries Department and BIADA for enabling an institution of this scale.

Placing the inauguration in a larger policy context, the Chief Minister referred to Bihar's new AI Policy and the government's decision to grant industry status to technical education centres in every district. Recalling how far technology has come since pagers first arrived in Patna in 1996– 97, he told students that the AI era is Bihar's opportunity to leap ahead, exhorting them to work hard so that Bihar stands at the forefront of the nation in the age of AI.

He also highlighted the government's own technology-led citizen initiatives, including the Sahyog Portal, under which every public application must be resolved within 30 days with automatic escalation, and a new initiative to declare engineering and polytechnic examination results within 24 hours.

Notably, the Chief Minister also publicly acknowledged CIMAGE's social contribution — the adoption of the government-run Miller School, which the institution has connected with IIT-linked learning programmes and partners such as Google, bringing quality teaching into government classrooms.

What the CIMAGE IT Park Offers
Welcoming the guests at the start of the programme, Prof. (Dr.) Neeraj Agrawal, Director, CIMAGE Group of Institutions, explained that the objective of the IT Park is to prepare students for the technologies of the future. Through the IT Park, Bihar's youth will receive project-based practical learning in:
∙ Artificial Intelligence (AI)
∙ Robotics
∙ Cyber Security
∙ Cloud Computing
∙ Digital and other emerging technologies
Spread across a campus of approximately 2,00,000 sq ft, the IT Park has also been envisioned as a startup and innovation hub, offering fully equipped workspaces, labs, and studios where technology companies and startup teams can set up operations — with CIMAGE committing to supply them with skilled, industry-ready talent from Bihar itself. The institution assured the Chief Minister that the IT Park will serve as a growth engine for IT in Bihar.
CIMAGE Director Mrs. Megha Agrawal, faculty members, students, and several other distinguished guests also participated in the event. The programme concluded with the felicitation of all guests with mementoes.
