Calicut University Study Material 2026 is out as free PDFs for distance students. The University of Calicut shares it through its distance education centre. It is now the Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE). The material is called Self-Learning Material, or SLM.

Two websites hold the material. Distance batches up to 2023 use the SDE website, sde.uoc.ac.in. It lists 16 UG and 12 PG courses. New online students get their material on the CDOE Student LMS.

The SDE PDFs cost nothing. Online students pay an SLM fee every semester. It ranges from INR 1,050 for BA to INR 6,000 for MBA. Eligible SC, ST and OEC students do not pay it.

What Is SLM at Calicut University?

SLM stands for Self-Learning Material. Teachers and subject experts write it for distance students. Each SLM covers one paper of one semester. The 2026 online prospectus calls it a Self-Learning e-Module.

How to Download Calicut University Study Material 2026?

Distance students download the SLM from the SDE website. These PDFs need no login.

  1. Open the official website, sde.uoc.ac.in.
  2. Go to the Student Zone menu and select Study Materials.
  3. Pick UG Courses or PG Courses.
  4. Select the course, such as B.Com or M.A English.
  5. Choose the admission year of the batch.
  6. Open the course type, such as Core Course.
  7. Select the paper name to open the PDF, then save it.

Example: A 2023 batch B.Com student needs the Cost Accounting SLM. The student opens B.Com, then 2023 Admission, then Core Course. The paper sits under IV Semester.

How Online Students Get the e-Module?

CDOE online students reach the Student LMS from the CDOE Student Zone. The CDOE gives the SLM after the set fee is paid. It follows the scheme chosen at admission.

SLM Fee for CDOE Online Programmes 2026

Online students pay the SLM fee each semester. These figures are for the August 2026 session.

MBA (HRM) runs in Scheme B only. Its SLM fee is INR 6,000 per semester.

Scheme A has online classes and offline exams at set centres. Scheme B is fully online, exams included. Fees may rise 5 percent a year, as per the CDOE fee structure.

Important: SC, ST and OEC students must apply on e-Grantz to get the waiver.

What to Do If the Study Material Does Not Open?

Most download problems have three causes. Each has a simple fix.

  • Wrong batch page: the paper may sit under another admission year.
  • Browser security warning: another browser may open the PDF.
  • No e-Module online: the SLM appears only after the fee is paid.
