NMIMS Mumbai MBA admission for 2027 requires NMAT 2026 and a separate NMIMS application. The extended application deadline was 25 October 2026 and has passed. Applicants for the general MBA need at least 50% in graduation. Undergraduate admission dates for 2027 are still awaited.
For UG admission in 2026, NMIMS used NPAT for commerce and management, NMIMS-CET for engineering, NMIMS-MST for selected science courses and NMIMS-LAT for law. The test depends on the course and campus.

NMIMS Mumbai MBA Courses and Eligibility
Mumbai offers the general MBA, MBA Human Resources, MBA Business Analytics, MBA Digital Transformation and MBA Pharmaceutical Management through this process. These are full-time courses. A student can choose more than one course, but must meet each course's degree rule.
| Mumbai MBA course | Main degree requirement for the 2027 intake |
|---|---|
| MBA and MBA Human Resources | Bachelor's degree in any field with at least 50% marks in all subjects. |
| MBA Business Analytics and MBA Digital Transformation | At least 50% in an accepted engineering, science, computing, economics or finance degree. |
| MBA Pharmaceutical Management | At least 50% in an accepted pharmacy, medical, dental or life-science degree. |
Business Analytics, Digital Transformation and Pharmaceutical Management accept specific degrees. Applicants to the two technology-focused MBA courses whose degree eligibility is unclear should confirm it with the Admission Cell before paying. Meeting the general MBA’s 50% requirement alone is not enough for every specialisation.
Final-year graduates may apply. They must later pass with the required marks. If their university gives a CGPA, NMIMS asks for that university's written conversion to percentage. NMIMS checks eligibility when it verifies documents, so an early offer can be cancelled if the degree or marks do not meet the course rule.
How to Apply for NMIMS MBA 2027
- Register for NMAT by GMAC and pay its test fee. Keep the NMAT registration number.
- Use that number to complete the separate NMIMS MBA form. Choose at least five initial course and campus preferences.
- Pay the ₹3,000 NMIMS application fee. This payment is separate from the NMAT fee and is not refunded.
- Download the submitted form from the NMIMS dashboard. Check all entries before submission because NMIMS does not allow edits afterward.
Applicants must complete the NMIMS form before their scheduled NMAT exam. NMIMS uses only the first NMAT attempt, even if a later score is higher. Students therefore need to complete both registrations and prepare for their first attempt.
How NMIMS Selects MBA Students
NMIMS first uses the NMAT total and section scores to choose applicants for the next stage. It puts the call letter on the applicant's dashboard. A shortlisted student must attend the in-person stage with their NMAT scorecard. The stage may include a competency test, a personal interview or both; the call letter gives the details.
Final selection considers NMAT, the interview, any competency test, academic marks and eligible work experience. Course preferences and available seats affect the programme and campus offered.
NMIMS gives weight for more than one year of work after graduation when the employer meets its verification rules. Internships, training, family business, self-employment and cash-paid work do not count for this weight. Work experience is separate from the minimum degree rule; a fresh graduate can still apply for the general MBA if eligible.
NMIMS Mumbai UG Tests and Eligibility
The 2026 NPAT group covered BBA, BCom, BSc Finance, economics, branding and liberal arts. NMIMS-CET covered BTech, MBA Tech and the integrated pharmacy-MBA course. NMIMS-MST covered mathematics, statistics and data science; NMIMS-LAT covered BA LLB and BBA LLB.
In 2026, BBA, BCom and integrated BBA-MBA required 50% in Class 12. BSc Finance, BBA FinTech and BSc Economics also required Mathematics or Statistics. BTech and MBA Tech accepted eligible science or engineering-diploma applicants. Law required 50% in Class 12. These requirements remain a reference until the 2027 UG rules are announced.
The Mumbai School of Commerce has three-year UG exits and four-year Honours options for some courses. Its integrated BBA-MBA is a separate five-year course. Admission to a BBA does not reserve a seat in the later postgraduate MBA.
UG Application, Tests and Counselling
In the 2026 UG process, applicants selected their test group, course and campus, paid the test fee, and booked a date and centre. The fee depended on the number of schools and attempts chosen. NMIMS allowed the main test and two retakes in each group, using the highest score.
Engineering counselling follows test merit, branch preferences and seat availability. Other UG offers also depend on the merit list and the applicant’s course and campus choices.
Documents and Seat Confirmation
MBA applicants need Class 10 and 12 marksheets, graduation marksheets, the degree or provisional certificate, and work-experience proof where claimed. NMIMS checks originals before classes begin. The call letter gives any additional document requirements.
UG applicants need their Class 12 result to prove that they meet the marks and subject rules. In the 2026 process, NMIMS could offer a seat before the final result, but the student had to submit the result by the stated time. NMIMS could cancel admission if the marks, subjects or documents did not qualify. The student must also pay the fee by the date in the offer to keep the allotted seat.
