Manipal University Jaipur admission is based on entrance scores, school or graduation marks, and an interview where required. BTech applicants can apply through the Manipal Entrance Test (MET) or Class 12 merit. BBA requires 60% in Class 12 and BCA requires 50%. MBA applicants need 50% in graduation and an accepted entrance score.
The university has not confirmed its 2027 admission dates. The course requirements below follow the 2026 rules and explain the subjects, minimum marks and selection steps for Indian-student campus admission. Engineering, management, law and postgraduate courses use different selection methods.
Manipal University Jaipur Admission Process
Students begin with an online application for the course. MUJ then checks the qualifying marks, subjects and any entrance score. Some courses admit students on academic merit, while others add an interview or another assessment. Selected applicants receive an offer with payment and document deadlines.
| Course | How selection takes place |
|---|---|
| BTech | MET rank, or qualifying marks under merit-based admission; branch allotment depends on merit and seats |
| BBA, BCA and BCom | Marks in the qualifying examination |
| Five-year integrated law | Qualifying marks and personal interview; accepted law entrance scores may be submitted |
| MBA | School and graduation record, entrance score, interview, presentation and English comprehension test |
| MTech CSE | Qualifying marks and interview; GATE holders receive preference |
| MCA | Graduation marks and personal interview |
Eligibility and selection are separate steps. Meeting the minimum marks allows an application to be considered, while merit and available seats determine admission. For engineering, the branch offered also depends on this assessment.
Manipal University Jaipur BTech Admission
BTech has two admission options: MET and Class 12 merit. Both require the correct school subjects, but the minimum marks are different. Students applying through MET are considered according to their entrance rank. Merit-based applicants are considered on the academic conditions for their chosen branch.
BTech Eligibility Through MET
For the 2026 MET admission process, applicants need Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory Class 12 subjects. They must have at least 50% in Physics, Mathematics and one accepted optional subject combined. The optional subject may be Chemistry, Computer Science, Biotechnology, Biology, Statistics or Engineering Drawing.
English is compulsory, but the three-subject mark calculation uses Physics, Mathematics and the accepted optional subject. This distinction matters for students whose overall Class 12 percentage differs from their science-subject percentage. Admission is based on the MET rank after the required qualification is met.
BTech Admission Through Class 12 Merit
For CSE, applicants need 70% in Physics, Mathematics and an accepted third subject, with English also compulsory. The third subject may be Chemistry, Computer Science, Biotechnology, Biology, Engineering Drawing, Electronics, Information Technology, Informatics Practices or Engineering Graphics.
The 2026 rules also allow applicants with at least 90 percentile in JEE Main and 60% in the required subject group. MUJ accepts SAT-based applications too. The MUJ eligibility page gives the branch-wise requirements. Branch allotment remains subject to marks and available seats.
For merit-based Biotechnology admission, students need 60% in Physics, Chemistry and an accepted third subject, along with English. Biology is among the accepted third subjects. Fashion Technology requires 60% in Physics, Mathematics and an accepted third subject.
BTech Lateral Entry
Lateral entry allows eligible students to join the second year. MUJ accepts a three-year diploma in a relevant engineering field or a BSc in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, with at least 50% marks. Selection is based on the qualifying marks; no entrance test is required for this admission option. The remaining course duration is three years.
BBA, BCA and Other UG Admission
BBA (Hons), BBA Business Analytics and the five-year Integrated MBA require 60% in Class 12 from any stream. BCA accepts any stream with 50%. BCom Accounting and Fintech require 60% in Commerce or an allied discipline. The stream condition therefore matters for BCom, even when a student already meets the percentage needed for BBA.
| Course | Minimum qualification |
|---|---|
| BBA (Hons), BBA Business Analytics and Integrated MBA | Class 12 with 60% in any stream |
| BCA | Class 12 with 50% in any stream |
| BCom (Hons) Accounting and Fintech | Class 12 with 60% in Commerce or an allied stream |
| BA English and Liberal Arts | Class 12 with 50% in any stream |
| BA Economics | Class 12 with 60% in any stream |
| BA Journalism and Mass Communication | Pass in Class 12 or equivalent |
| BHM | Class 12 with 45% in any stream |
| BBA Hospitality and Tourism Operations | Class 12 with 50% in any stream |
| BFA Applied Arts | Class 12 with 50% in any stream |
| BPES | Class 12 with 35% in any stream |
| BSc Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics | Class 12 with 60% and Science and/or Computer Science subjects |
| BSc Biotechnology and Microbiology | Class 12 with 60% and Physics, Chemistry and Biology |
| BSc Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics: dual degree with the University of Melbourne | Class 12 with 60% in Science; Mathematics is preferred |
| BA and BSc Psychology | Class 12 with 60% in any stream; selection includes an interview |
| BPharm | Class 12 with English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology |
Several BA and BSc honours courses have a three-year exit option and a fourth honours or research year. The subject requirement remains important for science courses: Biotechnology and Microbiology need Physics, Chemistry and Biology, while the Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics courses use the science or computing background described above. Psychology accepts students from any stream but also includes an interview.
Law and Architecture Admission
The five-year BA LLB (Hons) and BBA LLB (Hons) require 60% in Class 12 in any stream. Selection considers qualifying marks and a personal interview. The 2026 eligibility page accepts CLAT, LSAT India, AILET and MHCET Law scores. The three-year LLB is open to graduates with 50%, or 45% for SC/ST applicants.
BArch lasts five years. Applicants need a qualifying NATA score or another accepted architecture aptitude test. The 2026 academic requirement is 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and 50% overall in Class 12. An eligible three-year diploma with Mathematics and 50% is also accepted. MUJ considers qualifying marks and an interview for selection.
Manipal University Jaipur MBA Admission
The two-year MBA requires a recognised bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks. Accepted entrance tests are CAT, MAT, CMAT, XAT and GMAT. MUJ prepares the selection list using Class 10, Class 12 and graduation results, the entrance score, personal interview, presentation and English comprehension test.
The entrance score is one part of this assessment. Applicants also need to complete the interview and other selection activities. For the 2026 intake, final-year students had to submit proof of passing their degree by 31 October 2026. That date belongs to the earlier intake; the 2027 offer will need a new result-submission deadline.
MBA Business Analytics and Real Estate Management
MBA Business Analytics requires 50% in graduation. MUJ prefers applicants with Mathematics in Class 12 and a degree in Engineering, Science, Computer Applications or Economics. Academic or career record and interview performance receive equal weight in its selection. The course accepts other graduates who meet the minimum qualification.
MBA Real Estate Management requires 50% in graduation and an accepted CAT, MAT, CMAT, XAT or GMAT score. Relevant work experience, or an undergraduate degree in Engineering or Architecture, receives preference.
MTech, MCA and Other PG Admission
MTech eligibility depends on the specialisation and the applicant’s earlier degree. For CSE, MUJ requires 60% in an accepted engineering branch. Some other MTech courses accept 50% or 55%. The CSE selection process uses qualifying marks and a personal interview, with preference for GATE-qualified applicants.

MCA Eligibility and Selection
MCA is a two-year course requiring 50% in graduation, or 45% for reserved-category applicants. MUJ accepts computing degrees as well as other eligible bachelor’s degrees. Mathematics in Class 12 or graduation is preferred. Students without a Mathematics background must complete bridge courses, with additional computing courses where required by the university.
A bridge course covers earlier subject knowledge needed for the MCA curriculum. It allows an eligible graduate from another subject to complete the required preparation. Selection considers graduation marks and a personal interview; the applicant’s previous subjects determine which additional courses are needed.
MA, MSc, MCom and LLM Admission
Postgraduate arts and science courses use subject-specific qualifications. For example, MA English accepts 50% in a BA with English Literature, or 55% in another bachelor’s degree. MSc Mathematics and Computing requires Mathematics as a major subject and 60%. LLM applicants need a law degree and must complete the university’s written-test requirement.
