  1. Open tnteu-result.net.
  2. Enter the Register Number printed on the hall ticket.
  3. Submit and view the course-wise marks and result status.

TNTEU Passing Marks and Grading System

These rules come from the B.Ed CBCS regulations of 2021-22. Each theory course carries 100 marks and 5 credits.

Passing Minimum

  • Theory: at least 50 percent aggregate in each course.
  • External exam: at least 45 percent in each theory course.
  • Practical: at least 50 percent in each practical component.

A student who fails one paper rewrites only that paper.

Grades and Grade Points

Every semester result also shows grades on a six-point scale.

Marks Grade Grade Point
90-100 A+ 9.0-10
80-89 A 8.0-8.9
70-79 B 7.0-7.9
60-69 C 6.0-6.9
50-59 D 5.0-5.9
0-49 F (Fail) Below 5.0
Absent Ab 0

How GPA Is Calculated?

Grade point times credits gives the Grade Point Weight of a course. GPA is the total weight divided by the semester's maximum credits. CGPA is the weighted average of all semester GPAs.

Example: A student scores grade points 8.2, 7.5, 6.8 and 9.0 in four theory courses. The weights total 157.5 against 20 credits, so the GPA is about 7.88.

Class Awarded After Four Semesters

Student Type Marks Class

Cleared all four semesters in the first attempt 60-74.99 percent First Class
Cleared within four semesters, with arrears 60 percent and above First Class
Cleared arrears after the course duration 50 percent and above Second Class

Marks between 50 and 59.99 percent within the course duration earn a Second Class.
