AP EAPCET 2027 requires a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in qualifying examination group subjects for General and OBC students, while SC and ST students need only pass marks to be eligible.

AP EAPCET (Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test) is conducted by JNTU Kakinada on behalf of APSCHE. The exam provides admission to B.Tech, B.Pharm, Pharm.D, B.Sc. Agriculture and allied courses across Andhra Pradesh colleges. Before filling the application form, you must confirm you meet all eligibility conditions — an ineligible application can be rejected at any stage, including at the time of counselling.

  • Engineering stream students must have studied Maths, Physics and Chemistry (or equivalent subject) at the 10+2 level.
  • Agriculture and Pharmacy stream students need Biology, Physics and Chemistry (BiPC group) at the 10+2 level.
  • No upper age limit applies for Engineering courses; a minimum age of 16 years is required.
  • General and OBC students need at least 45% aggregate marks in their relevant qualifying exam group subjects.
  • SC and ST students need only pass marks in the qualifying examination — no minimum percentage is required.
  • Students appearing in the 10+2 examination in 2027 can also apply provisionally.

AP EAPCET 2027 Eligibility Criteria Overview

The eligibility criteria for AP EAPCET 2027 span four main areas: nationality and domicile, age, educational qualification, and minimum qualifying marks. All conditions must be satisfied simultaneously. The table below gives a quick summary before each section is covered in detail.

Eligibility Parameter Requirement
Conducting Body JNTU Kakinada on behalf of APSCHE
Nationality Indian National / NRI / OCI
Domicile Andhra Pradesh state or studied 7+ years in AP
Minimum Age 16 years for Engineering; 17 years for Agriculture and Pharmacy
Upper Age Limit No upper age limit for Engineering
Qualifying Exam 10+2 or equivalent with relevant group subjects
Minimum Marks (General / OBC) 45% aggregate in group subjects
Minimum Marks (SC / ST) Pass marks in qualifying examination
Engineering Stream MPC — Maths, Physics, Chemistry (or equivalent)
Agriculture and Pharmacy Stream BiPC — Biology, Physics, Chemistry

Age Limit for AP EAPCET 2027

AP EAPCET 2027 does not impose an upper age limit for Engineering courses, making it accessible to students at any age. You must, however, meet the minimum age requirement. Age is calculated as on 31 December of the year of admission.

Course Category Minimum Age Upper Age Limit
Engineering (B.Tech / B.E.) 16 years No upper limit
Agriculture (B.Sc. Agriculture and allied) 17 years As per APSCHE norms
Pharmacy (B.Pharm / Pharm.D) 17 years As per PCI norms

Students born on or before 31 December 2011 satisfy the minimum age of 16 years for the Engineering stream under AP EAPCET 2027. Age relaxation for specific categories such as PwD is subject to APSCHE guidelines for that admission year.

Educational Qualification for AP EAPCET 2027

You must have passed, or be appearing in, the 10+2 or equivalent examination from a board recognised by APSCHE. The exact subjects required depend on the course stream you are applying for.

  • Passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognised state or central board such as BIEAP, CBSE, ICSE or an equivalent.
  • Students appearing in the 10+2 examination in 2027 are eligible to apply; their admission remains provisional until the qualifying result is submitted.
  • Students who passed 10+2 in 2025 or 2026 are also eligible, provided all other criteria are met.
  • Diploma holders in Engineering seeking lateral entry (second year / third semester B.Tech) are admitted through a separate process and do not need to appear for AP EAPCET.

Qualifying Marks for AP EAPCET 2027

The minimum marks required in the qualifying examination differ by category. General and OBC students must secure at least 45% aggregate in their group subjects at the 10+2 level. SC and ST students need only pass the qualifying examination with no minimum percentage requirement.

Category Minimum Qualifying Marks (Group Subjects)
General (UR) 45% aggregate
OBC 45% aggregate
SC Pass marks (no minimum percentage)
ST Pass marks (no minimum percentage)
PwD / PH 45% aggregate (subject to APSCHE norms)

The 45% is calculated on the aggregate of the three group subjects only — not on the total of all subjects in the 10+2 result. For the MPC group, the aggregate is calculated across Maths, Physics and Chemistry. Languages and optional subjects are excluded from this calculation.

Stream Requirements for AP EAPCET 2027

AP EAPCET 2027 covers two broad streams — Engineering and Agriculture/Pharmacy. The subjects you studied at the 10+2 level determine which stream and which courses you can apply for.

Engineering Stream (B.Tech / B.E.)

You must have studied the following at the 10+2 level:

  • Mathematics — compulsory
  • Physics — compulsory
  • Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics or Biotechnology — any one as the third subject

This combination is commonly referred to as the MPC group. Students from MPC are eligible for all B.Tech and B.E. courses offered through AP EAPCET counselling.

Agriculture and Pharmacy Stream (B.Sc. Agriculture / B.Pharm / Pharm.D)

You must have studied the following at the 10+2 level:

  • Biology — compulsory
  • Physics — compulsory
  • Chemistry — compulsory

This combination is commonly referred to as the BiPC group. Students from BiPC are eligible for B.Sc. Agriculture, B.Sc. Horticulture, B.Sc. Forestry, B.Pharm and Pharm.D programmes. For B.Pharm, students with MPC background may also be eligible — confirm this in the official information brochure for 2027.

Stream Required Subjects at 10+2 Courses Available
Engineering Maths, Physics, Chemistry / CS / Electronics / Biotechnology B.Tech, B.E.
Agriculture Biology, Physics, Chemistry B.Sc. Agriculture, B.Sc. Horticulture, B.Sc. Forestry
Pharmacy Biology or Maths, Physics, Chemistry B.Pharm, Pharm.D

Domicile and Nationality Requirements for AP EAPCET 2027

AP EAPCET seats are divided into Local Area and Non-Local Area categories. Your eligibility for local area seats depends on where you have studied and your state of origin.

  • Indian nationals are eligible to apply. NRI and OCI students may apply under the NRI quota as per APSCHE norms for 2027.
  • Students who have studied in Andhra Pradesh continuously for 7 years at 10+2 level or below qualify as local students and are eligible for local area reservation.
  • Students of AP origin — where parents hold an AP domicile — can also claim local status under specific conditions defined by APSCHE.
  • Students from outside Andhra Pradesh are fully eligible to apply but will compete in the Non-Local category, which covers 15% of total intake in AP colleges.
