AP EAPCET 2027 eligibility is assessed across five parameters: nationality and domicile, age limit, academic qualification, minimum marks and number of attempts. The table below gives a quick stream-wise summary.

Parameter Engineering Agriculture Pharmacy
Nationality Indian National / OCI / PIO with AP domicile
Age Limit No age limit Min. 17 years (as on 31 Dec of admission year) Min. 17 years (as on 31 Dec of admission year)

Nationality and Domicile Requirement

You must be an Indian national to apply for AP EAPCET 2027. OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) and PIO (Person of Indian Origin) card holders may also be eligible under specific conditions as notified by APSCHE.

Domicile is a mandatory eligibility condition. You qualify as a local candidate of Andhra Pradesh if any of the following apply:

  • You studied in AP educational institutions for at least 4 consecutive years ending with the qualifying examination.
  • One of your parents has been a resident of AP for a continuous period of 10 years as of the application date.
  • One of your parents is a serving state or central government employee posted in AP or belongs to an AP government service cadre.

Non-local candidates may apply under the non-local quota, which is restricted to a small percentage of seats at each institution. Check the official AP EAPCET 2027 information brochure for the latest domicile conditions.

Age Limit for AP EAPCET 2027

The AP EAPCET 2027 age limit varies by stream. Engineering imposes no age restriction, while Agriculture and Pharmacy streams follow the minimum-age norms set by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research and the Pharmacy Council of India respectively.

Stream Minimum Age Maximum Age
Engineering (B.Tech / B.E.) No minimum age limit No upper age limit
Agriculture (B.Sc. Agriculture and related programmes) 17 years as on 31 December of the admission year No upper age limit
Pharmacy (B.Pharm) 17 years as on 31 December of the admission year No upper age limit

Engineering students face no age restriction at all under AP EAPCET norms. If you are applying for the Agriculture or Pharmacy stream, ensure you will have turned 17 years old by December 31 of the year in which you seek admission.

Academic Qualification Requirements

You must have passed or be appearing in Class 12 (Intermediate) from a board recognised by APSCHE. The required subject combination differs by the stream you are targeting.

Stream Compulsory Subjects Optional (One of the following)
Engineering (B.Tech / B.E.) Physics, Mathematics Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational subject
B.Tech (Bio-Technology / Food Technology) Physics, Chemistry Mathematics / Biology
Agriculture (B.Sc. Agriculture) Botany, Zoology Chemistry or any APSCHE-approved allied subject
Pharmacy (B.Pharm) Physics, Chemistry Mathematics / Biology

Appearing students — if you are yet to sit for your Class 12 board examinations in 2027, you are eligible to apply provisionally. Your final admission will be confirmed only after you submit your marksheet showing the required minimum percentage.

Students from CBSE, ICSE, AP or Telangana State Board, or any equivalent board recognised by APSCHE are eligible. Those who completed the qualifying examination in a previous year are also eligible as long as they meet all other criteria.

Minimum Marks Required for AP EAPCET 2027

You must secure at least 45% aggregate marks in the relevant Class 12 subjects to be eligible for AP EAPCET 2027. This aggregate is calculated on the group subjects specific to your stream, not across all Class 12 subjects.

Category Minimum Marks in Qualifying Exam
General / OBC / EWS 45% aggregate in relevant subjects
SC / ST 40% aggregate in relevant subjects
Persons with Disabilities (PwD) As per APSCHE norms (generally 40%)

For Engineering, the aggregate is computed across Physics, Mathematics and the optional third subject (Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology). For Agriculture and Pharmacy, it is calculated on the respective subject group. Ensure your marksheet reflects the required minimum before submitting your application.

Number of Attempts for AP EAPCET

There is no cap on the number of times you can appear for AP EAPCET. APSCHE places no restriction on attempts, which means you can sit for the exam in multiple years provided you fulfil all other eligibility conditions each time you apply.

This is a significant advantage compared to exams such as JEE Main, which enforce an attempt limit. The only condition is that you must be appearing in or have already passed the qualifying exam and must not have previously secured admission to a programme that disqualifies you. Always review the official information brochure to check whether this rule is revised for 2027.
