Post Matric Scholarship is available for those students who want to seek admission into private universities or institutes which are Deemed to be universities and if they are pursuing distance-level courses or ones requiring correspondence. The Pre Matric Scholarship is offered by the state of Andhra Pradesh, the student has to be enrolled in schools or colleges that are run by the Government, Municipalities, Zilla Parishads, Mandals, or other Government-Aided Schools.

Andhra Pradesh Scholarship: How to Apply?
The steps to be followed in order to apply for these state sponsored scholarships vary slightly for Pre Matric and Post Matric candidates.
Pre Matric Scholarship
- Candidates or school principals must visit the Jnanabhumi portal
- Click on the tab labeled “Pre-Matric Scholarship”
- Select the “Apply Online” button
- Fill out all the required details in the application form, and consequently hit the “Submit” button
- Hostel Welfare Officers then proceed to verify these details and provide their approval of the application
Post Matric Scholarship
- Candidates or school principals must visit the Jnanabhumi portal
- Click on the tab labeled “Post-matric Scholarship”
- Click on the “How to Apply” and proceed to download the application form
- In case a candidate does not wish to follow this process, they may procure an application form from their respective college as well
- The application form must then be duly filled out and submitted to the college principal
- Upon completing this portion of the process, an SMS will be delivered to the candidate and he/she/they will be required to visit the “Mee Seva Centre” in order to verify their details. They will be needed to share their Application ID and their Aadhar Number at this stage
- After submitting biometric details, the form may finally be submitted on the Jnanabhumi portal, after which an ultimate SMS will be sent, containing a confirmation of successful verification and application upload to the online official portal.
Jnanabhumi Ambedkar Overseas Vidyanidi Scholarship
- Online registration on the Jnanbhumi portal.
- Uploading of the immigration certificate.
- Uploading of the mark sheet.
- Verification of the certificate by the concerned welfare department.
- Selection through state-level committees.
- Release of the 1st installment of the scholarship along with a one-way flight fare and visa fee.
- Release of the 2nd installment after receiving the first-semester mark list.
- Release of the final installment at the beginning of the 4th semester after receiving the 3rd semester mark list.

Andhra Pradesh Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
Following are the Eligibility Criteria of the below scholarships:
Pre Matric Scholarships, Andhra Pradesh
Students from 5th to 10th of SC/ST/BC/Disabled communities with an income ceiling of Rs.2.00 lakhs per annum.
Post Matric Scholarships, Andhra Pradesh
- Students belonging to the SC, ST, BC, EBC (other than Kapu), Kapu, Minority, Differently Abled categories are all eligible on a saturation basis.
- The ‘Admission Requirement’ is that students must be seeking to pursue ITI, Diploma, Degree or more advanced courses.
- The ‘Attendance Requirement’ is that of a minimum of 75%.
- Being a day scholar student, or one residing in College Attached Hostels (CAH) and Department Attached Hostels (DAH) are eligible.
- The family income of the student, from all sources, must be limited to INR 2,50,000.
Other Scholarship Schemes
Jnanabhumi Scholarship, Andhra Pradesh
- The state government uses this scheme to distribute as many as 65,000 awards for candidates belonging to ST, SC, BC, EBS, Minority, Brahmin, and Kapu communities. Further, candidates are also offered financial assistance for coaching centers and other expenses related to appearing for the Civil Services Examinations.
- Candidates are typically awarded merits under this scheme by their performance on an online exam, the application form to which is hosted on the Jnanabhumi portal.
Jagananna Vidya Deevana (RTF)
The aim of this scheme is to provide a complete fee reimbursement to all eligible students, including but not limited to tuition fees, special fees, and exam fees, as defined in the G.O. e
Jagananna Vasathi Deevana (MTF)
- The goal of this scheme is to provide INR 10,000 per person to ITI students, INR 15,000 per person to Polytechnic students, and INR 20,000 per person for students of other degrees as monetary compensation for food and hostel expenses.
- This scheme only pertains to credits made directly to the account of the mother of the students concerned. If there is a demise or other causes that lead to the absence of the mother, the closest legal guardian receives the state’s remuneration.
