The Chief Minister's Urban Leaders Fellowship Program (CMULF) provides a unique opportunity for young leaders from across India to work in the Delhi government to tackle some of India's most pressing urban challenges and discover what "change". The scholarship aims to attract outstanding Indian youth from across the country under the age of 35 who are passionate about public service and ready to work for two years with the Delhi government.

The scholarship program is managed by the Department of Administrative Reform, NCT Delhi Government in close cooperation with the Commission for Dialogue and Development (DDC) and relevant departments of NCT Delhi Government.

CM Urban Leaders Fellowship Programme Eligibility Criteria

For Fellows:

• Applicants must have a Ph.D. in any field and have at least 1 year of full-time work experience; or
• Applicants who have achieved a postgraduate degree with a minimum of 60% marks (or CGPA equivalent) with a minimum of 3 years of full-time work experience; or
• applicants who have obtained degrees such as MBBS, LLB, etc. who are completed within a minimum period of 5 years will be treated as "Post Graduate" and may apply for scholarships; or
• Professionals such as company secretaries, chartered accountants, etc. who are enrolled in their respective professional associations will be considered eligible to apply for fellowships. However, these applicants must have a minimum of 3 years of professional experience after enrolling in the respective professional associations; or
• Applicants with a degree in any subject with a minimum of 60% of the marks and a minimum of 5 years of full experience. Time employees can also apply for fellowships.

CM Urban Leaders Fellowship Programme Eligibility Criteria

For Associate Fellows:

• Applicants with a postgraduate degree with a minimum of 60% overall grades (or ACMG equivalent) may apply for Associate Fellows. Applicants with degrees such as MBBS or LLB (which are completed within a minimum period of 5 years) will be treated as "PostGraduate" and may apply for Associate Fellows.
• Professionals such as business secretaries, accountants, etc. who are enrolled in their respective professional associations will be considered eligible to apply for Associate Fellows. These applicants must have at least 1 year of professional experience after enrollment.
• Applicants with a bachelor's degree in any subject with a minimum of 60% marks and full-time work experience of at least 1 year can submit an application for Associate Fellows.

• Superior academic performance and achievement
• Increased full-time work experience
• Relevant work experience in public services and development, particularly in governments
• Demonstration of exceptional achievement and leadership potential
• Good communication skills oral and written

CM Urban Leaders Fellowship Programme Benefits

• Young people are provided with an opportunity to work within the Delhi Government to address some of the most pressing urban challenges in India.
• It also aims to attract youth who are passionate about public service and are willing to work for 2 years.
• Selected fellows will be assigned to work with ministers or senior officials across various departments of the Delhi government such as health, education, water, transport, art, and culture.
• Under CMULFP, fellows will be paid remuneration of INR 1.25 Lakh per month and INR 75,000 per month to associate fellows.

How to Apply for CM Urban Leaders Fellowship Programme?

To complete and submit the CMULF application form, please follow the steps below:

• Visit the official DTU website and complete the CMULF application form.
• Complete the registration form with the necessary information. The DTU will now provide login credentials to applicants via email and applicants must confirm the credentials.
• Applicants should now log in using the credentials they received via email and complete the Delhi CM Urban Leaders Fellowship scholarship application form including personal information, educational background, and transcripts, work experience, volunteer experience, etc.
• Applicants must then upload an updated curriculum vitae and a scanned passport-size image.
• It is recommended that applicants double-check the information entered on the application form before submitting it.
