Brock University Master of Business Administration (MBA) is a full-time, on-campus degree in St. Catharines, Ontario, normally completed in two years, with Fall 2027 as the international target intake. Admission requires a four-year bachelor’s degree and a 75% Canadian equivalent in the last two undergraduate years. September 2027 tuition is unpublished. Fall 2026 tuition was C$79,130 (INR 54.68 Lakhs) as a prior-cycle reference. The prior-cycle total fees were C$85,270 to C$87,520 (INR 58.92 Lakhs to INR 60.48 Lakhs).

The 75% figure is a planning guide of roughly 75% to 80% for Indian applicants, while Brock decides equivalency. Goodman combines 14 core courses with six electives, functional specializations and project-based consulting for community partners. That structure suits applicants seeking a general management base while testing finance, analytics, marketing or operations interests through applied deliverables.

  • A four-month co-op can extend to eight or 12 months and is available to eligible full-time international students.
  • Exchange options and double-degree routes add international study without replacing the Goodman MBA.
  • The January entry point is limited, so most international applicants should target the September cycle.

Current Admission Status

Applications for the September 2027 intake are Open. International student deadline: 1 March 2027 (recommended).

The Goodman MBA page recommends March 1 for international Fall applicants, while another official Brock MBA page lists May 1. Use the earlier date and verify the portal instruction before submitting because the pages differ.

Brock University MBA Fees and Living Costs 2027

Brock’s current fee page lists 2026-2027 full-time international charges, while September 2027 tuition is not yet published.

The University Health Insurance Plan (UHIP) is a separate international charge. The full-time estimate therefore separates tuition, health, recovery, student and co-op charges.

Prior-cycle fee context: Every fee row below is Brock’s published 2026-27 full-time international estimate, not a September 2027 price.

All INR conversions in the article use a conversion rate of CAD 1 = INR 69.1037 as of 24 August 2026. Rates fluctuate daily, verify before applying.

  • The prior-cycle total without co-op was C$85,270 (INR 58.92 Lakhs), so a loan plan based only on tuition understates billed university charges.
  • Adding the four-month co-op fee raised the prior-cycle estimate to C$87,520 (INR 60.48 Lakhs), before living costs and books.
  • Tuition and student fees are due at the beginning of each semester, so Indian applicants should reserve cash for staged payments rather than one annual transfer.

Cost of Living in St. Catharines for MBA Students

Brock’s Goodman page recommends C$17,250 to C$28,300 (INR 11.92 Lakhs to INR 19.56 Lakhs) per year for living expenses and books.

That combined estimate is separate from residence prices and Canada’s study permit maintenance amount, so use the detailed university budget below for planning.

Planning basis: Monthly figures marked as calculated convert Brock’s weekly or annual values; annual rent and insurance are calculated from monthly amounts.

ExpenseMonthly (CAD)Monthly (INR)Annual (CAD)Annual (INR)
Shared rent including heat and electricityC$600 to C$700INR 41,462 to INR 48,373C$7,200 to C$8,400INR 4.97 Lakhs to INR 5.80 Lakhs

The listed items total uses each displayed period, so Brock’s academic-year food values are not converted into a 12-month grocery forecast.

For a prior-cycle planning illustration, the published full-time fee total without co-op was C$85,270 (INR 58.92 Lakhs). Adding Brock’s living and books estimate produces C$102,520 to C$113,570 (INR 70.85 Lakhs to INR 78.48 Lakhs) before travel, visa and personal costs. With co-op, the same illustration reaches C$104,770 to C$115,820 (INR 72.40 Lakhs to INR 80.04 Lakhs).

Fee update note

Verify the target fee on the official Goodman MBA fee page because Fall 2027 tuition is unpublished.

ROI reality: Fall 2027 tuition is still unpublished. Use 2026-27 totals to set a funding ceiling, then reprice the budget when Brock posts new fees.

Brock University MBA Admission 2027

Admission requires a four-year bachelor’s degree and a 75% Canadian-equivalent average in the last two undergraduate years. Qualifying GMAT or GRE evidence and English proficiency are also required where applicable.

Professional experience is preferred but not required, so a recent graduate can apply if the statement explains career goals and quantitative readiness.

Intakes and Study Modes

The full-time MBA lists September and January entry points, while the part-time route also lists May; the January full-time route is limited for applicants already in Canada.

ModeEntry pointInternational scopeDeliveryPublished duration
Full-time MBASeptember (Fall)Applicant-accessible international entry, target Fall 2027On-campusNormally two years
Full-time MBAJanuary (Winter)Limited to domestic and accelerated pathway applicants within CanadaOn-campusSequence may add two terms without advanced standing
Part-time MBAMay (Spring)Live mode listed, outside this full-time international scopeOn-campusFour years

Academic Eligibility and Tests

Brock accepts applicants from any academic field, but the last two undergraduate years must meet the published Canadian-equivalent average and test route.

The GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) and GRE (Graduate Record Examinations) provide the quantitative and verbal evidence used in the published admission rule.

RequirementBrock minimumIndian applicant reading
DegreeFour-year bachelor’s degree in any field, Canadian equivalentBrock decides equivalency from official transcripts and the grading scale
Academic averageB / 75% Canadian equivalent in the last two undergraduate yearsApproximately 75% to 80% for Indian planning, not an official conversion
GMAT52nd percentile in verbal and quantitative reasoningNo higher competitive target is published
GRE60th percentile in verbal and quantitative reasoningSubmit the two stated percentiles on the current GRE report
Work experienceNo specific requirement, preferred but not requiredFresh graduates can apply; the statement must show career direction
Advanced standingUp to 5 credits; each prior course at least 70% / B- / 2.7About 70% to 75% for planning; course-by-course assessment applies

The GMAT or GRE waiver route is selective. Goodman lists 80% Canadian equivalent in the last two years, a qualifying professional designation or three years of relevant postgraduate experience as possible grounds.

English Language Proficiency

English Language Proficiency (ELP) evidence is required when applicable, and the MBA page lists IELTS, TOEFL iBT, PTE Academic and Brock AELP routes.

The current TOEFL policy remains on the 0 to 120 scale, so report the published 88 overall and 21 in each section without self-converting it.

Brock AELP (Accelerated English Language Program) is an alternative route listed by the university. Successful completion is the published threshold.

Test or routeOverall requirementComponent requirement
Academic IELTS6.56.0 minimum in each section
TOEFL iBT, 0 to 120 scale8821 minimum in each section
PTE Academic6060 minimum in each section
Brock AELPSuccessful completionAccelerated English Language Program
  • IELTS is the most transparent route because Brock publishes both the 6.5 overall floor and 6.0 component floor.
  • TOEFL applicants should report the current 0 to 120 score exactly because Brock publishes 88 overall and 21 in every section.
  • A score below the minimum may lead to conditional admission with additional English preparation, so do not assume a low band will be waived.

Student perspective

One 2021 MBA review described five courses per semester and a heavy workload. It also reported mixed course relevance while valuing community-partner projects, so Indian applicants should budget time for sustained assessment work. Student reviews provide the underlying anecdotal context.

These comments are anecdotal and do not replace official Brock University data.

Tip for Indian students: A 75% Canadian-equivalent floor does not replace the GMAT or GRE rule. Prepare transcripts, test evidence and a career-focused statement as one application narrative.

Brock University MBA Application 2027

Submit the OUAC application first, then activate my.brocku.ca and upload the required documents electronically; completed files are typically reviewed in two to three weeks.

For September 2027, the Goodman page recommends 1 March for international applicants, but Brock’s academic-program page lists 1 May, so treat 1 March as the safer planning date.

Brock publishes dates without a cutoff time or timezone, so the portal timestamp controls and no IST conversion is available.

Application Checklist

The application is electronic and combines academic evidence, references, testing, career intent and scholarship consideration in one file.

  • Pay the non-refundable OUAC application fee of C$140 (INR 9,675) and submit the online application.
  • Upload official transcripts with grading-scale explanations, degree-classification notes and certified translations when documents are not in English or French.
  • Arrange three electronic reference reports, a one-page statement of interest and a current resume that connect your experience to a specific MBA direction.
  • Upload IELTS, TOEFL or PTE evidence when applicable, plus the GMAT or GRE report or waiver form and the internal scholarship application.

A strong statement should explain why this MBA, why Goodman, which specialization or general route fits your plan and how co-op or projects support the next career step.

Also Check: Brock University courses and fees

Application tip: Submit by 1 March 2027 because the official pages disagree on the later date, then keep the portal record showing your payment and document upload.

Brock University MBA Scholarships 2027

Funding is available, but the international MBA award is the clearest course-specific option for an Indian applicant.

Goodman also lists internal graduate awards, so the table separates the MBA award from broader entrance scholarships and fellowships.

Cycle context: The awards below are current published opportunities; none carries an explicitly named September 2027 cycle or deadline.

AwardValue (CAD)Value (INR)Applicant fitRoute or cycle

Source: Brock University Goodman MBA and Graduate Studies scholarship pages.

  • The MBA international scholarship uses the 80% Canadian-equivalent threshold and renews the second C$10,000 payment (INR 6.91 Lakhs) only after an 80% first-year average.
  • Goodman Entrance Scholarships require at least two of the three published criteria, so a high average alone is not the complete profile.
  • The Moriyama and Annual Fund awards are broader graduate opportunities, so applicants should confirm the MBA allocation and any split before reducing their loan request.

A Teaching Assistant (TA) or Research Assistant (RA) position is paid work rather than guaranteed tuition remission.

Brock says students may apply, but legal work permission and available funding control access.

Scholarship update note

Current published awards do not show a September 2027 deadline, so confirm the target-cycle route before reducing your funding plan.

Scholarship reality: The up to C$20,000 international MBA award (INR 13.82 Lakhs) can materially reduce the prior-cycle bill, but Fall 2027 eligibility and award timing remain unpublished.

Brock University MBA Placements 2027

The current Goodman MBA page does not publish a course-cohort salary, offer rate or employment report, so it cannot support a typical graduate salary or payback claim.

It does publish co-op eligibility, career services, employer examples and role examples, which are the most defensible outcome evidence for this programme.

Evidence typePublished scopeWhat it supports
Course-cohort salary and offer rateNot published on the current MBA pageNo typical salary or placement claim
Co-opFull-time in-person students with 75% average and sufficient English; four to 12 months; international students eligibleWork experience, not guaranteed employment
Experiential educationProject-based academic courses with community partnersApplied deliverables, not a placement rate
Employer examplesCurrent Goodman page lists firms and public-sector organisationsReported employer presence, not recruitment volume
Career supportServices during study, CareerZone indefinitely and other services for one year after graduationJob-search preparation and alumni access
Role examplesFinance, marketing or sales, accounting, human resources and general managementPossible role directions, not salary

Source: Brock University Goodman MBA career, co-op and experiential education pages.

The programme’s professional value depends on how you use projects, co-op and career services. The official page does not provide salary data for a verified MBA cohort.

For a prior-cycle ROI illustration, the published university total was C$85,270 without co-op (INR 58.92 Lakhs). With co-op, the total was C$87,520 (INR 60.48 Lakhs), before living costs and books.

  • The September 2027 tuition is unpublished, so request the new fee before finalising a loan or comparing repayment capacity.
  • The four-month co-op fee is C$2,250 (INR 1.55 Lakhs), so confirm eligibility before treating paid work as part of the budget.
  • Employer and role examples show possible directions, but the missing salary report means you should not model a guaranteed payback period.
  • The MBA can support a post-study work route, but India-return planning remains necessary if Canadian employment does not materialise within the available permit window.

Take-home pay will vary by Ontario tax, role and payroll deductions, so test any real offer in the Canada Revenue Agency payroll calculator.

ROI reality: Goodman provides applied work experience and career support, but the missing course-cohort salary report makes funding discipline more important than a calculated payback promise.

Canada Visa for Brock University MBA Students 2027

Indian applicants need a Canadian study permit for the on-campus MBA and must show first-year tuition, living expenses and return transportation without relying on work income.

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) sets the permit rules. Current fees are C$150 (INR 10,366) for the study permit and C$85 (INR 5,874) for biometrics.

Outside Quebec, IRCC requires C$22,895 (INR 15.82 Lakhs) in annual living funds, excluding tuition and transportation.

A Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) is the relevant post-study work route. Its duration and eligibility remain conditional under current IRCC rules.

PGWP eligibility uses Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB), the Canadian scale for language ability. The Canadian Experience Class uses TEER, meaning Training, Education, Experience and Responsibilities, to classify skilled work.

  • An eligible master’s programme of at least eight months may support a three-year PGWP, but approval depends on IRCC eligibility and passport validity.
  • Master’s graduates need CLB 7 in all four language areas for a PGWP, while no field-of-study restriction applies to master’s degrees.
  • A spouse or common-law partner may qualify for an open work permit for a master’s programme of at least 16 months, and advanced standing can change this outcome.
  • The Canadian Experience Class does not promise permanent residence; applicants need paid TEER 0, 1, 2 or 3 work totalling 1,560 hours within the previous three years.

Check Out: Canada study permit requirements

Visa reality: A two-year MBA can align with a three-year PGWP route, but the permit is conditional and does not guarantee employment or permanent residence.

Brock University MBA Ranking 2027

Brock is ranked in business subject and MBA tables, but those measures describe the university or business-school scope rather than a salary outcome.

Use the rankings as a screening signal only, then weigh the published curriculum, co-op conditions and missing salary report.

RankingEditionPositionScope

QS Global MBA Rankings2025251+ worldwide; tied 15th in CanadaMBA

The subject band confirms that business is a published Brock strength, while the MBA table gives programme-level context for applicants comparing Canadian options.

Check Out: Brock University MBA ranking

Honest take: The 2026 subject band confirms that business is a visible Brock strength, but the ranking does not remove the need to verify Fall 2027 fees or employment evidence.

Brock’s full-time MBA fits an Indian applicant who wants a flexible general-management base, applied projects and an optional co-op rather than a research degree. The September 2027 route remains open, but the 75% Canadian-equivalent threshold, GMAT or GRE rule and English floors require an evidence-ready application. The material tradeoff is financial uncertainty because Fall 2027 tuition and the course’s salary outcomes are not yet published. Start by confirming the March 1 or May 1 deadline conflict, requesting the current fee and sizing funding against the prior-cycle total.

Brock University MBA FAQs

Ques. Is Brock MBA suitable for an Indian fresher without work experience?

Ans. Yes. Goodman lists no specific work-experience requirement, but your statement should connect your academic preparation, career direction and readiness for applied team projects.

Ques. What GMAT or GRE score should an Indian applicant target for Brock MBA?

Ans. The published minimum is GMAT 52nd percentile in verbal and quantitative reasoning or GRE 60th percentile in both areas. Goodman publishes no higher competitive target, so focus on meeting the stated rule or documenting a waiver basis.

Ques. How should I budget Brock MBA for September 2027 when tuition is unpublished?

Ans. Treat the 2026-27 total of C$85,270 to C$87,520 (INR 58.92 Lakhs to INR 60.48 Lakhs) as prior-cycle planning only. Add Brock’s C$17,250 to C$28,300 (INR 11.92 Lakhs to INR 19.56 Lakhs) living and books estimate.

Ques. Which Brock MBA intakes can international students use?

Ans. Fall September 2027 is the applicant-accessible target. January 2027 is limited to domestic or accelerated applicants within Canada, while May is listed for the part-time route.

Ques. Can Brock MBA lead to post-study work and permanent residence?

Ans. An eligible master’s graduate may qualify for up to a three-year PGWP, but eligibility is conditional. Permanent residence through the Canadian Experience Class requires paid skilled Canadian work and does not follow automatically from graduation.

To do MBA was my dream from a long time. I was looking for options in USA and Canada. Since I applied for Jan intake there aren't many options available in Canada as major intake will be fall and Canada has limited universities unlike US.I applied for Brock because it has good co-op program and option to complete general MBA. At that point of time I didn't want to choose any specialization and Brock has this option of completing general MBA.I got admits in US universities though but my main reason to choose Brock was because of its location in Canada. As MBA does not come under STEM in US the opt will be one year so I choose Canada to avoid any immigration issues in US.
