Dominican University College, first established in Ottawa in 1900, is a publicly funded bilingual university. The university offers certificate, Bachelor's, Masters and doctoral degrees Philosophy and Theology in French and English.

Campus Dominican University College

DUC is located in downtown Ottawa. All programs are taught in the Ottawa campus. University Residences are attached to the main campus for male students and hence all university facilities are easily accessible. 

The Dominican University provides on-campus housing facilities for male students only. Female students who wish to apply for university residences are accommodated in Carleton University Residences.

Language Requirement


Most of the courses are conducted in English. An international candidate must demonstrate his/her proficiency in English through English Language examinations mentioned below:

What to do next?

  • All the students are required to apply through the portal Dominicus on the DUC website.
  • Students must make a profile on the portal Dominicus and proceed with their application.
  • Assessment results are given after 2-4 weeks.
  • Acceptance of admission: Acceptance Form must be submitted by mail or email to Admissions’ Office.
  • Application fee amount is $120 CAD.


International and Domestic candidates: March 31st for the fall semester and July 31st for the winter semester of the academic year.
