With 15% international applicant from over 110 countries, Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN) offers more than 100 degrees to its applicants. For the year 2016-17 fall, the number of enrolments were 18,272 including graduate, undergraduate, diploma, certificate, and postgraduate (medicine) programs, total international enrolment for fall 2016 was 2474.

International applications are not accepted after June for fall semester. They are suggested to apply 12 weeks before the start of the intended semester. International applicants cannot apply for winter/spring semesters. The application deadlines for domestic applicants are as follows:

Note: If the international students are applying for admission to nursing or fine arts, they should e-mail an unofficial copy of their transcripts, showing mid-year grade/progress report by no later March 1.

MUn offers a variety of postgraduate programs. One-third of the graduate population at the university is of international students. The admissions deadlines for these vary. Applicants can check their admissions status at online application portal or at MUN Self Service. Applications for the fall semester are processed after October 30. A minimum of three days is required for processing applications. Supporting documents should be received by the university within 5-10 business days.
Application decisions are made within 5-10 days after the complete application package is received by the university. International applicants fulfilling the entrance scholarship criteria are considered for non-renewable entrance scholarships. International applicants applying for study permit may require the Designated Learning Institution number of MUN- O19440995346.
