Starting in September 2018, St. Francis Xavier will introduce Living Learning Communities (LLCs), a unique residential experience where you’ll live alongside peers who share your interest in a particular lifestyle or field of academic study.

All students can pay a sum of $125 which is Laundry Fee for unlimited access to the facilities. Also, please note that students who live on-campus are required to have a meal plan.

St. Francis Xavier offers a wide variety of degrees in arts, science, education, business and applied programs.

  • It offers approximately 40 undergraduate degree programs and 25 graduate degree options.
  • The programs are taught under Graham School of Management, School of Nursing, School of Arts and Sciences and School of Education.

What all you need to do to apply at St.FX University?

Pre-requisites

  • An IELTS score of 6.5 to prove English Language Proficiency
  • Other language tests- TOEFL (92), CAEL (70), MELAB (90).
  • For high school graduates- minimum average of 70% in Grade 12, 65% marks in each subject.
  • Transcripts of the last educational degree.

Late Fee Payment

There is a penalty on late fee payment of $50 in the first term fee if payment is delayed beyond September 15th and again $50 in the second term if the fee is delayed beyond January 15th.

In addition to this, interest is charged at the rate of 1% per month (12% per annum) on overdue balances on the last banking day of each month.

Work While You Study

On Campus

Students can work on campus while studying at the institute. They will have to fulfil the following conditions.

  1. Study full time in a program
  2. Have a valid study permit
  3. Have a SIN (Social Insurance Number)
  4. Can work a maximum of 20 hours/ week during the school year
  5. Can work full time during school holidays

Off Campus

Students can also work off campus while studying at the institute. They will have to fulfil the following conditions.

  1. Have a valid study permit
  2. Study full time in a program at a recognized institution.
  3. Have already started studying
  4. Studying to obtain a degree, diploma or certificate with duration of at least 6 months
  5. Have a SIN (Social Insurance Number)

Work After Graduation

One can work post their graduation after obtaining a work permit. The post graduation work permit is valid for the same duration as that of the last study program you have completed. Students have to fulfil the following conditions.

  1. Must have been a full time student in Canada
  2. Completed with a study program with a minimum duration of 8 months
  3. Apply for the work permit within 90 days of receiving a document declaring completion of studies.
  4. Must have a valid study permit.
