AI-Generated Summary based on 25 Reviews

The review provides information on both on-campus and off-campus accommodations. On-campus housing costs between $8000-$9000 per year, with a mandatory meal plan at Webster costing nearly $6000. Students have options such as shared rooms with common or private facilities, and residences offer proximity to classes and cafes. Off-campus housing is generally cheaper, costing around $800-$1000 CAD per month for a single bedroom apartment or $300 excluding utilities in shared accommodation.

Rental costs off-campus range from $600-$800 per month for a single room or $2500 for a 3-bedroom house. The review highlights the importance of verifying accommodation details to avoid scams and suggests that off-campus options provide more independence and flexibility.

  • The best way is to find a house online on Facebook Marketplace or some other app because agents can sometimes scam you. It is easier if you have some friend or family or some other connection in the city so help you figure out housing and other stuff initially and help you get set in the city. So try to make good connections.

  • I stayed off-campus almost 5Km from campus at Wharncliffe Road North. This has pretty old houses with rent around 600-800 per month for a single room.
  • Direct bus to Western University and lots of student accommodations in the area.
  • Before landing in Canada, I talked to my then-college junior, who had room available in her house. I eventually lived there for 2 months and found better accommodation nearby.
  • Most students find something on the Facebook Marketplace/Kijiji app or through friends.
  • The lease is usually 1 year with options to transfer the lease or sublease your room incase you decide to move out early. Preferably go with month-to-month lease options.
  • As international students, it is best to live with international students, as it is easier to shop for groceries, handle medical emergencies, manage mental health, and cook. While these do not seem like a priority at first, these basic necessities need attention for the long term.
  • Please beware of scams, fraud postings and calls. NEVER give money until completely sure about the whereabouts of the place through online video calls/chats/previous tenants.
  • Most owners/landlords do not force you to give money as they have plenty of options. Try finding accommodation that offers transit to university.

Our accommodation facility abroad provides comfortable and convenient living options for students. We offer a variety of accommodation options, including shared and individual rooms, to suit different preferences and budgets. The rooms are well-maintained and furnished with essential amenities to ensure a pleasant living experience. In addition to on-campus housing, there are also other feasible options available, such as off-campus apartments or shared houses. These options provide students with more independence and flexibility. The average rental cost for on-campus accommodation is $600 per month, which includes utilities and other basic expenses. It's important to note that besides accommodation expenses, there may be additional costs for meals, transportation, and personal expenses. On average, students can expect to allocate around $400 per month for these expenditures. However, it's worth considering that these costs may vary depending on personal lifestyle choices and preferences.

My experience at Western University has been truly transformative. The rigorous academic programs, supportive faculty, vibrant campus life, and countless opportunities for personal and professional growth have made my time here exceptional. I have formed lifelong friendships, gained valuable skills, and developed a strong sense of belonging within the Western community.

I lived off campus. Not sharing. I paid 600-800 and it has increased now and ranges 700-1000 including add given inflation.

It was a decent learning experience and I learnt and grew but lot of things could be better but its a learning curve and it's different for everyone.

I have made a group from India. I met some person through my consultancy and some from online university meetings. We are living in a 3bedroom house which we rented for 2500 CAD per month for 12 months.

As I wanted to pursue my masters in robotics field, I chose Western University. For admission purpose, I provided my transcripts, and IELTS result. My all the process has been done under the guidance of Canam, Anand branch. Campus is wonderful. It is considered as one of the best university campus. Most of the people are indigenous and Chinese. Campus is equipped with State of the art amenities and peaceful environment.

I'm currently in a private residence. Some of my friends live in the dorms - there's no individual accomadation, you'll have to share with 2 or 3 people. There's a shared kitchen. My friends told me there's a very active dorm life with games and constant activities and engagement. Each different dorm has mentors and supervisors. I would like to apply next year to residency.

There were two strong reasons behind choosing the IVEY Business School for undergoing 1 year program in MBA which can be mentioned here :- 1) The Business School is one of its kind which deploys case learning method in every class apart from teaching from the conventional methodology. It helps you to uderstand the contemporary business world and shapes you to take the challenges ahead. 2) The strong alumni network of the Business School across Canada that would help getting desired job. I my opinion , making out for a job in Canada requires a strong alumni connection

Yes, I am an on-campus residence. It is closer to classes, the first-year residence all have cafes inside them too. Our meal plan card works in the res cafes on diff Off-campus restaurants as well as restaurants on campus. I was in a sharing (double) room which I found better than a single room as I always had a roommate with me, it was never lonely. The fee for the residence was $8000-$9000

I chose this university because it is well known and reputed in Canada for the course I wanted to study keeping in mind the tuition fee as well

I currently live off campus because it is considerably cheaper. The meal plan at Webster is close to six thousand dollars and mandatory for students who live in residence.

I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted to do in my life. Originally I wanted to be a dermatologist which would give me the freedom of any undergrad. I was originally accepted to all the universities I applied to for bio or biochem (as I loved bio). I got to thinking and knew bio was not a great degree to have if I didn't get into med school. A friend's relative is an actuary and the more she told me about it as well as when I took grade 12 calculus and fell in love with math I knew it was for me. Western was the only of the 4 schools I applied to where my major wasn't set in stone as well they offered me a 10,000 scholarship.

I opted for this college because it is well known in my area and a fantastic option for my location. My older sibling came here first. My admissions average was 85% in my top 6 university-level grade 12 courses. The admission process was easy and I only applied to western universities and affiliating colleges.
