Student Snaps:

Course Curriculum Overview:

The guntur medical College is 2nd top medical College in Andhra Pradesh. The infrastructure is also good. I am a person who loves the rock structures and this college preserved the college blocks built by the british. It is nearer to my house. The college is very near to railways station and bustation. That's why I chose this college. The curriculum has integrated classes for certain topics which makes it easy for us to understand anatomy, physiology, biochemical aspects and pathology same time. They also made us visit wards in 1st year to see patients and interact with them. We visited hospital wards for anemia complications during pregnancy, jaundice and varicose veins topics as they are more common in india. We also has family adoption programme where each medico should adopt 5 families and interact with them. The psm dept leads us.We have to visit them 4 times and record the family members information. The exams are conducted after completion of every unit which helps to read topics

Placement Experience:

There are direct placements for our course but the availability of jobs are wide range for doctors. As we take intership as they marking a monthly stipend of 25k rupees for monthly. There after as the course completed our choice may be a specialist or a junior doctors. There is good scope of getting job or we can make a own private job such as clinics and own hospitals if possible.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this because i wanted to become a good doctor.. Most of the times... We study on our own before exams.. We watch lecture videos, study with frnds. Instead of judt turning slides on the screen the professor should really try to teach something.. The exams are difficult yes.. But u will pass if u start your prep 2-3 months before exams

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is alright. For 2020 batch, course was reduced to 5 years which is fine and third year inlcuded subjects like ENT and Opthalmology which in some other universiites is for final year which is good as that would create more stress. Although teaching methods could be improved but outdated teaching methods is a nation wide thing so major change has to happen. Reality is that in most government colleges studies happen at home only from books and apps, so that time could be saved for more clinical exposure and less classroom time.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Yes curriculum is good for any average student to face real world applications if one followed it correctly. Well curriculum needs improvements as well specifically in Timing of exams and amount of syllabus and also more clinical and bits type questions for future academic purposes. Exams are quite challenging mostly due to amount of syllabus.

This course is for 5½years where the final year is the internship period. There are 19 subjects in total. We have exams once in a year and it's difficult for everyone who don't spend their time in studying. The faculty are working professionals and they are good at their work.
