NBMCH Faculty

The faculty at the college is well-qualified, consisting of MD/MS/MCh holders, and maintains a good faculty-to-student ratio, approximately 15:1 with 200 students and around 12-13 teachers. They are approachable, supportive, and engage students with interactive teaching methods such as PowerPoint presentations. Faculty turnover occurs every 5-6 years, bringing diverse educators from across the state. Approximately 3 lectures are conducted daily except on government holidays, with 10-20 lecturers per department. The examination structure includes internal semester exams every 3 months and one professional exam annually, with a high pass rate of about 180 out of 200 students.

The curriculum aligns with NMC guidelines, and faculty are noted for their dedication, particularly in pre and para-clinical subjects. However, some departments may have insufficient faculty, and while most faculty members are committed, a few may lack enthusiasm. Overall, the college provides a supportive educational environment with various departmental resources like libraries and seminar rooms.
