M.Tech admission is based on a GATE score or an AP PGECET rank, and MBA admission is based on AP ICET. Ph.D admission is done by Andhra University, with ANITS as a research centre. The B.Tech fee is INR 84,100 a year, as fixed by the state.

Central schemes: Apply on the National Scholarship Portal for the central schemes you qualify for.
Education loan: Banks give study loans on your seat order and fee letter. A loan does not lower the fee.

ANITS Admission FAQs
Short answers to what students ask before they apply.
I live in Telangana. Can I still get a B.Tech seat at ANITS?▾
Yes, but only in the open 15% of seats. You qualify if you or a parent lived in Andhra Pradesh for ten years, or a parent works for the state or central government here. Check the non local rules in the counselling notice before you choose ANITS.
Does state fee support cover a Category B seat?▾
No. The state pays the fee only for convenor quota seats. If you take a Category B seat, you pay the full fee yourself, so plan for it.
Is there an age limit for state fee support?▾
Yes. Last year you had to be 25 or under if you are OC, and 29 or under for other groups, on 1 Jul. If you are older, you can still join but you pay the fee.
Which income certificate do I need for state fee support?▾
You need an income certificate issued after the date the counselling notice sets. Last year it had to be issued on or after 1 Jan 2023. Get a fresh one from MeeSeva if yours is older.
Do I have to visit a help line centre for my certificates?▾
Usually no. Your uploaded PDFs are checked online. You go to a help line centre only if a paper is unclear or wrong, and you get a message telling you so.
A certificate I uploaded was not clear. Can I upload it again?▾
Yes, but only once. So scan every paper clearly, keep each file under 1 MB, and check it before you upload.
My counselling fee payment failed but money left my account. What now?▾
Pay again so you do not miss the date. The amount from the failed payment goes back to your account, so keep the bank message as proof.
I studied privately for Class 12. What extra paper do I need?▾
You need a residence certificate of Andhra Pradesh, because study certificates alone cannot prove your local status. Get it from MeeSeva before counselling starts.
Can I claim the EWS quota at ANITS?▾
Yes, if you are an OC student with an EWS certificate valid for the 2027 to 2028 year. Get it from MeeSeva before you register, because an old one is not accepted.
Is reporting online enough after I get a seat?▾
No. You must self report online and also report in person at ANITS. If you do only one of the two, your seat can be cancelled.
What if I do not report at ANITS by the last date?▾
Your seat goes back into the pool and you lose it. If you cannot travel, contact the college before the last date, not after.
I got a seat in phase 1. Can I try for a better branch in the final phase?▾
Yes. You can give fresh options for the seats left after phase 1. If you get a new seat, your old one is released, so choose with care.
Is there negative marking in AP EAPCET?▾
No. A wrong answer does not cut your marks, so you should attempt every question.
Where do I get my NCC or sports certificate checked?▾
Special category certificates like NCC, sports, CAP and PWD are checked at a centre named in the counselling notice. Watch the notice for your slot and carry the originals.
Can a diploma holder join B.Tech at ANITS?▾
Yes, in the second year, through AP ECET. Take AP ECET after your diploma and choose ANITS in its counselling.
Does ANITS offer honours or minors with B.Tech?▾
Yes. ANITS offers B.Tech with honours or minors. You pick them after you join, based on your marks and the rules of your branch.
Which ANITS B.Tech branches are NBA accredited?▾
ANITS says CSE, IT, ECE, EEE, Mechanical, Chemical and Civil are NBA accredited. Check the current list on the college website before you set your options.
I want CSE but my rank may not be enough. What should I do?▾
List CSE (AI and ML) and CSE (Data Science) right after CSE in your options. They are close to CSE in subjects and have 420 seats between them.
Is the hostel fee part of the tuition fee?▾
No. The tuition fee does not include hostel, mess or bus charges. Ask the college office for these when you report, and keep money aside for them.
Can I study B.Tech at ANITS while working?▾
Yes, in Chemical, EEE or Mechanical, which have 30 seats each for working professionals. These seats have their own notice, so watch the ANITS website.
Which papers do I keep ready before counselling?▾
Keep your hall ticket, rank card, marks memos, study certificates, transfer certificate, and caste or income certificates ready as PDF files under 1 MB. Keep the originals and two sets of copies for reporting.
Someone is offering me an ANITS seat for money. Is that real?▾
No. ANITS seats are given only through state counselling, Andhra University counselling or the college's own Category B process. Do not pay any agent, and pay fees only through official portals.
Where is the ANITS campus?▾
The campus is at Sangivalasa, Bheemunipatnam mandal, Visakhapatnam 531162. It is outside the city, so plan your travel and stay before you report.
Is an ANITS degree valid across India?▾
Yes. ANITS is approved by AICTE and affiliated to Andhra University, which gives your degree. You can use it for jobs and higher studies anywhere in India.
How do I reach the ANITS office with a question?▾
Write to principal@anits.edu.in or check anits.edu.in for notices. Keep your rank card or application number ready when you ask.

ANITS Admission FAQs
Short answers to what students ask before they apply.
I have a GATE score and an AP PGECET rank. Which one counts?▾
Your GATE score counts first. GATE holders get M.Tech seats before AP PGECET rank holders, so use GATE if you have it.
Do I need to take AP PGECET if I have a valid GATE score?▾
No. You can join the M.Tech counselling with your GATE score. Take AP PGECET too only if you want a backup.
Do GATE qualified M.Tech students get a monthly scholarship?▾
Yes, if you qualify. AICTE gives a monthly PG scholarship to GATE qualified students in approved colleges. Apply on the AICTE portal after you join.
Which M.Tech subjects at ANITS have the smallest batches?▾
Control Systems and Food Processing Technology have 9 seats each. If you choose them, give more options as backup, because seats fill fast.
Can I do an M.Tech at ANITS while I keep my job?▾
Yes. VLSI and Embedded Systems and CSE (AI and ML) have 15 seats each for working professionals. These seats follow their own notice, so watch the college website.
Can I apply for M.Tech in my final year of B.Tech?▾
Yes. You can take AP PGECET in your final year. You must pass your B.Tech before you join, or you lose the seat.
Can a B.Sc or B.Com graduate apply for the MBA?▾
Yes. Your subject does not matter for this MBA; only your total marks and your AP ICET rank count. Check that your degree marks meet the cut for your group.
Do I need a medical background for MBA Hospital Administration?▾
No. The MBA is open to any graduate who meets the marks rule. You learn hospital work during the course.
What score do I need to qualify in AP ICET?▾
You need 25%, which is 50 out of 200. If you are SC or ST, there is no qualifying score for you.
Is there negative marking in AP ICET?▾
No. A wrong answer does not cut your marks, so try every question.
Can I use a distance degree for the MBA?▾
Yes, but only if your distance programme was approved by the national bodies that cover distance education. Keep the approval proof ready, because your certificates are checked at counselling.
Will I work inside a hospital during the MBA?▾
Yes. You visit Anil Neerukonda Hospital and work on real hospital problems during the course. This helps you understand how a hospital is run.
Is the MBA fee covered by state fee support?▾
It depends on that year's state rules for PG seats in private colleges. Read the counselling notice or ask at the help line before you choose your seat.
I made a mistake in my AP ICET form. Can I fix it?▾
Yes, in the correction window. Last year it was on 6 Apr 2026. Fix every detail then, because you cannot change it later.
When can I download my AP ICET hall ticket?▾
Last year, hall tickets came from 15 Apr onwards. Download yours early and check your name, photo and centre.
Can I challenge an AP ICET answer key?▾
Yes. You pay INR 300 for each question you challenge. If your objection is right, the key is corrected.
What happens if I do not report after getting an M.Tech or MBA seat?▾
Your seat is cancelled and goes to the next student. Report online and at ANITS within the dates on your seat order.
Who holds AP ICET and AP PGECET?▾
Both were held by Andhra University in 2026, on behalf of the state council. All notices come on cets.apsche.ap.gov.in, so check it often.
Which papers should I carry when I report for M.Tech?▾
Carry your seat order, GATE scorecard or AP PGECET rank card, B.Tech marks memos and degree, and your Class 10 and 12 memos. Bring originals and copies.
Is the ANITS MBA approved by AICTE?▾
Yes. ANITS is approved by AICTE, and your MBA degree is given by Andhra University.
Can I list other colleges along with ANITS in web options?▾
Yes, and you should. List as many colleges as you like in order, with ANITS where you want it. This way you still get a seat if you miss ANITS.
Someone is offering me an ANITS seat for money. Is that real?▾
No. ANITS seats are given only through state counselling, Andhra University counselling or the college's own Category B process. Do not pay any agent, and pay fees only through official portals.

Andhra University gives the degree. ANITS is the research centre where you work with your guide.
How do I know which subjects have open Ph.D seats at ANITS?▾

Will I get a fellowship as a Ph.D scholar at ANITS?▾
If you hold NET JRF, CSIR JRF or a GATE award, you get the fellowship of that body. ANITS has not published a fellowship of its own.
How long does a Ph.D take?▾

Is there course work in the Ph.D?▾
Yes. Under the UGC rules, you complete course work in your first year or so. You must clear it before you go on with your research.
Can I do a part time Ph.D while I work?▾

You can send it within a short late window by paying INR 1,500 more. After that, you must wait for the next notice.

Does ANITS hold its own Ph.D entrance test?▾

Do government scholarships cover Ph.D scholars?▾

Admission to the Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Chemical Engineering at Anil Neerukonda Institute of Technology & Sciences (ANITS) primarily occurs through the AP EAPCET entrance exam, with cutoffs typically ranging significantly depending on the branch and category. The institute also considers JEE Mains scores, and admissions can be secured through management quota or reserved category B seats, generally for those unable to get through regular counselling. Eligibility requires passing the 12th grade from a recognized board, such as State or CBSE, and qualifying in the relevant entrance exam.
Application processes are mostly conducted online, with fees typically set by the entrance examination authorities, and the AP EAPCET exam usually takes place annually around March. For those entering through reserved categories, benefits such as scholarships are available, with rank cutoffs adjusted accordingly during counselling. Admissions for diploma holders joining in the second year are based on their specific entrance exam scores. Fee payments and document submissions are necessary parts of the admission process, which can sometimes be lengthy and involve waiting for receipt confirmations.
Regardless of rank, reserved caste students often receive benefits that may affect seat allocation. While ANITS is recognized for good placement prospects and some successful academic programs, specific complaints about hostel facilities and the administration have been reported.
