DIT Kolkata has B.Tech courses to offer with 5 streams. The programs include full-time engineering of 4 years. B. Tech has an intake of 120 students in Electrical Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering branches and 60 seats in the remaining three disciplines.

B.Tech and B.Tech (Lateral) Eligibility

• B.Tech program: A candidate must have passed the 10+2 level examination with Physics & Mathematics, and anyone of Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Computer Application, Computer Science, or Technical Vocational subject as a compulsory subject. 
• B.Tech (Lateral) program: Candidates must have a B.sc. degree or a diploma in the relevant branch. 
• Candidates must have secured a minimum of 45% marks in 10+2 examination. For ST/SC/OBC candidates, the minimum securing percentage is 40%. 
• Students should have at least 30% marks in English in 10+2.
• The minimum age limit for applying for admission in the B.Tech program is 17 years as on 31.12.2021. There is no upper age limit. 

B.Tech and B.Tech (Lateral) Selection Criteria

B.Tech:

• Admission to these courses can take place either according to the marks obtained in WBJEE conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Boards Examination or valid score in JEE MAIN. 
• The selection will be provided based on marks obtained by the students in these examinations (JEE MAIN or WBJEE). 
• Personal Interviews will also be scheduled along with counseling. 

B.Tech (Lateral)

• The selection process will consider qualifying the Common Entrance Examination through JELET.

• For applying to the Non-Engineering courses at Dream Institute of Technology, a student who has qualified the 10+2 exam or equivalent from any recognized board is eligible.
