GAT Bangalore Admission 2027 is open for BE, M.Tech, MBA and Ph.D. GAT is Global Academy of Technology at Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Bengaluru. It started in 2001, is run by the National Education Foundation, and is an autonomous college under VTU. GAT does not hold its own entrance test. BE seats are filled through KCET and KEA counselling, through COMEDK UGET and COMEDK counselling, or through the management quota. M.Tech and MBA seats are filled through Karnataka PGCET and KEA counselling. For 2026 to 27, a management seat in BE Computer Science cost INR 6 Lakhs a year in tuition. KCET 2027 registration should open on 17 Jan 2027 (tentative, based on last year).
GAT Bangalore BE Admission 2027
GAT offers BE in ten branches, with 1,260 seats approved by AICTE for 2026 to 27. Computer Science and Engineering is the largest, with 300 seats. Computer Science (AI and ML) and Electronics and Communication have 180 seats each. AI and Data Science, AI and Machine Learning, and Information Science have 120 seats each. Aeronautical, Electrical, Mechanical and Civil have 60 seats each. Your rank and the order of your options decide the branch you get.
GAT Bangalore BE Eligibility 2027
You need to pass Class 12 with Physics and Maths. Your third subject can be Chemistry, Biology or Computer Science. You need 45% in total in these subjects. SC, ST and OBC students from Karnataka need 40%. You also need a KCET or COMEDK UGET rank, or a seat through the management quota.

GAT Bangalore BE Admission Process 2027
Register for KCET on the KEA portal. Fill the COMEDK UGET form too if you want a second chance. After the result, upload your documents and put GAT branches in your option list. When KEA or COMEDK gives you a GAT seat, you pay the fee and report with your originals. For a management seat, you apply to the GAT admission office, which looks at your marks and talks to you.

GAT Bangalore BE Fees at Admission 2027
Your first year fee depends on how you got the seat. KEA sets the fee for a KCET seat, and COMEDK sets the fee for a COMEDK seat. GAT prints the management seat tuition for each branch. For 2026 to 27, it was INR 6 Lakhs a year for Computer Science and INR 2 Lakhs a year for Mechanical and Civil.

GAT offers M.Tech in two branches. Computer Science and Engineering has 18 seats, and Structural Engineering has 18 seats. You can join with a Karnataka PGCET rank or a GATE score. KEA fills most seats through its counselling, and GAT fills the management seats.

GAT Bangalore MBA Admission 2027
The two year MBA at GAT has 240 seats for 2026 to 27. It is one of the biggest courses on the campus. Most students join through Karnataka PGCET and KEA counselling. For a management seat, GAT also takes a KMAT or CMAT score.
GAT Bangalore MBA Eligibility 2027
You need a bachelor's degree of at least three years with 50% marks. If you are an SC, ST or OBC student from Karnataka, you need 45%. You also need a Karnataka PGCET rank for a KEA seat. For a management seat, a KMAT or CMAT score also works.

GAT is affiliated to VTU, so you can do a Ph.D here under VTU rules. VTU gives the degree, and GAT gives you a research guide. GAT has not printed the number of Ph.D seats or the list of its research centres.
