Placement Experience :

The placement of our college is quite good and it seems to me that it is one of the best colleges for placements in Pune. As much as I remember the highest package was around 12L per annum and there was more than 90 percent placement of our college.

Remarks :

Nice college with great opportunities and I would say some the best faculties around in 'SPPU but the only problem is that it focuses a lot on attendance and they make you wear a uniform every day. The admission process was quite smoothly run by the management, I didn't have any issues during my admission Great opportunities, which were beyond my expectations is the greatest reason why I would suggest this college to others I got to know about this college through my friend

Placement Experience :

T&P cell of our college works hard to get maximum of our students placed. Those who opt to not get placed are generally those who are preparing for entrance exams. Companies like Cognizant, Tata motors, Forbes marshall, Dassault systems, Volkswagen etc. The highest offered has been 22 LPA Average package is 5 LPA. 90% of students get placed.

Remarks :

It is among the top 5 colleges in Pune and the best engineering college in Pimpri Chinchwad. The college focuses on all-round development of students. However, some of the teaching staff is not very good. The admission process was long and tiresome but that was a mistake from the SPPU side. I got to know about my college from College Dunia itself.

PCCOE is preferably known for its campus placement record. Almost every year 85% of students get placed. The companies such as Capgemini, Infosys, cognizant etc. The average package is 4 LPA and it has gone up to 32 LPA. It is the best college for placement activities.

Remarks :

The admission process was pretty simple and straight. In just 4 hours I had completed my whole process and less paperwork was needed. I had preferred this college due to it's campus placement record. The faculty members are really good and supportive.

Remarks :

Good aspects: Placements are really good for pune city. Theres varied number of faculty.Few faculties have a deep understanding of subjects. There are many college events. External activities are promoted aswell. Bad aspects: Some faculty can be difficult to understand.More focus is given on rote learning rather than actually understanding the concepts.Admission process:I got the admission through my mht cet score. In this process we have to list 30 colleges we are interested in. There are four rounds in which we can change the preference of the colleges. If there are seats available and if the scores fit in that category a certain college is suggested in every round. If we are fine with any of the colleges from the suggested once we can fix that college. Once the college is fixed we had to go to respective colleges and submit the documents. This admission process usually takes towards the end of july.Reason of preference:The reason I chose this college was it has a good reputation for giving job placements. I heard of the good placements that had taken place through this college. Its also one of the top ranked colleges in pune. At that time it was in top 3. This college was also very close to my house hence I could save on travel and living expenses. Also since I was in obc category the selection score was lower for me. Also the college fees were comparatively low considering other colleges in pune. College website: www.pccoe.com

Placement Experience :

College has every good placement cell and it is headed by Rawandale sir he's the head of maharashtra placement association. We had also given the cocubes test. Our college had more that 80% placement.

Placement Experience :

Rank up to 4th in case of placement in Pune University. TCS, AMAZON, INFOSYS, CAP GEMINI are the major recruiters of college. Students are eligible for internships from the first semester itself and the 6th semester for job placements. 80% placement rate. Also one can set up his own startup after his/her degree.

Remarks :

Good points: 1. Good Campus infrastructure. 2. Availability of highly educated and well collaborative teachers. 3. Rank top 4 in placement and internships point of view. 4. An autonomous college affiliated to Savitribai Phule University, Pune. 5. Hostel availability. 6. Well established practical labs and also lecture halls. 7. Also has various well-established clubs and social communities. Bad points: 1. Still top 4th in placements. The admission is merit-based, particularly based on JEE and CET scores. One has to apply through the government-defined admission process. If allotted to this college then visit and confirm admission by paying all of the applied fees or a certain token amount. Admission dates were around in the month of July-August after the college allotment through the government portal. As considering above mentioned peaks of the institute one cal definitely opt for this college.

Placement Experience :

Campus placement is the crown jewel of this college. The Training and Placement staff, teachers, and volunteers take extreme efforts for each and every student, developing them for the nether world of career and life. Companies like Wipro Infosys IBM Adobe Capgemini SKF TATA Motors visit the campus every year. Nearly 70% of students get placed every year. An average package of 4 LPA is offered and it can go as high as 22 LPA.

Remarks :

As I wanted to study in Pune, this college was best suited for me from fees and placements perspective. It is one of the best engineering colleges in Pune. My overall experience has been a good one. Though there are some things like strict attendance and a heavy schedule that may bother someone it can be neglected. PCCOE has its policy of grooming an individual into a fine engineer. Otherwise, it has all good aspects. Academics, experience faculty, sports, gymnasium, and club activities. Technical groups and teams to showcase your engineering knowledge, high rate of placements. The admission is based on your CET or JEE scores as it is for all the colleges in State.

Ques. Which is better for EnTC: VIIT, Pune or PCCOE, Pune?

● Top Answer By Kavita Kaushik on 11 Jan 21

Ans. If you are planning to go for electronics and communication technology (EnTC) then opt for VIIT Pune. It has a well-strategic academic curriculum for EnTC and the placement rate is also highly appreciable. The average salary is Rs 5.44 lakh. It has a beautiful campus, central library, conference room, and seminar hall which will win your heart. Whereas for PCCOE, Pune you'll find decent placement with a very average salary. You will find a wide variety of opportunities at VIIT. The most unique feature that makes VIIT special is its best-known faculties in Pune, having tie-up with different colleges, government research institute, projects that will offer your better exposure and credible opportunities in your internship as well as in your job.  Being an autonomous institute now, you'll get a B.Tech degree instead of a BE degree, and it will get you a better project and help you enhance your resume profile.  Students at VIIT are offered a 6-month internship with a reputed company. On the other hand, in PCCOE, there is a rare opportunity for an internship. Students have only received a maximum of 2-week internship and learned nothing. In terms of placements, VIIT is the best when compared to PCCOE. The table below shows the statistics for VIIT: Academic year Number of companies visited Placement in a year Average salary (LPA) 2017-18 175 216 4.45 2018-19 221 336 5.48 2019-20 150 295 6.18 Hence at VIIT Pune, you'll get open to new projects and internships during your course which will help you in building your skills and knowledge.Read more

Ques. Which is better, a CSE at PCCOE Pune or an IT at VIIT Pune?

● Top Answer By Siripuram Akash on 05 Oct 20

Ans. VIIT College is an autonomous college in Pune. It has been ranked at 155 and 132 among the B.Tech colleges in India by NIRF and Outlook respectively. On the other hand, PCCOE is a reputed private college in Pune. NIRF and Outlook have ranked the college 197 and 54 respectively in the B. Tech branch. Admission: Both VIIT and PCCOE accept JEE Mains and MHT CET scores for BTech admission. In 2019 the cutoff for IT at VIIT was 130 (MHT CET). Whereas, the required cutoff for CSE at PCCOE was 143 (MHT CET) last year. VIIT takes up 6.56 lacs for the whole 4 years and fees have to be paid on a yearly basis. PCCOE charges 5.17 lacs which is less than the VIIT fee. But here fees have to be paid according to the CBCS rule Faculty: VIIT has a dedicated group of faculty members for the IT branch. Most of the faculties have their PhDs and are well-experienced. On the other hand, PCCOE consists of 20 professors for CSE students. The professors are highly qualified and have years of experience in teaching. Placements: VIIT: A good number of students from the IT branch get placed in reputed companies and the placement rate is between 79% to 85%. In 2019 the highest, as well as the second-highest package of the whole VIIT, was given to an IT student and it was around 65 lacs per annum. More than 150+ recruiters are being invited every year from the placement cell for this branch. Some of the job givers of this institute are Tata consultancy, Oracle, Wipro, IBM, Infosys, Tech Firm. PCCOE: The Placement rate in PCCOE is also high, ranging around 84% for the previous year. On an average 213 companies visit the campus. The highest package received by a CSE student was 35 lacs while the average package was on the verge of 4.5 lacs. Some of the companies that visited the college were TCS, IBM, Cognizant, HP, L&T, Capgemini, Oracle, Quinnox, Wipro, and many more. The infrastructure at both the institutes is quite good. Well developed laboratories and libraries are available in both the places for all the branches of engineering. Here was a brief idea of both the colleges and their specified branch. Now it depends upon the student’s preference for selecting either of them.Read more
