RSET Admissions: Students' Opinion

  • BTech

AI-Generated Summary based on 114 Reviews

Admissions to the B.Tech Information Technology program at Rajagiri School of Engineering & Technology is primarily through the KEAM entrance exam managed by the Kerala Entrance Commission. Students must secure a rank typically between 5000 to 12000 for merit seats, with the admission process being highly competitive and dependent on the rank and category of the candidate. KEAM applications usually open in March and close by the first week of April, with the exam conducted in May and results announced in June.

Reserved category applicants must submit valid caste certificates via the CEE portal. NRI seats are available, bypassing the KEAM requirement, with admissions commencing before the KEAM schedule. Management quota admissions necessitate KEAM qualification, although a strong KEAM rank is less critical for securing such seats, provided the student also has satisfactory marks in 11th and 12th grades. The admission timeline includes online application, KEAM rank assessment, and possibly an interview before final enrollment.

Admissions through the management quota remain distinct but require KEAM clearance. The college is well-regarded for its faculty, infrastructure, and campus atmosphere and is a sought-after choice for its robust reputation and proximity to industry. Admission processes are generally streamlined with faculty guidance, ensuring a smooth enrollment experience.
