SPIT B.Tech {Lateral} Computer Science & Engineering: Fees 2026, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

Ans. Candidates who have completed a 3-year Diploma in Engineering in a relevant branch such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or Electronics from a recognised polytechnic are eligible. A minimum aggregate of 45% in the diploma is required for General category candidates and 40% for Reserved category. BSc graduates in relevant subjects may also be eligible under DSE norms.

Ans. The total 3-year programme fee for B.Tech Lateral Entry CSE at SPIT is INR 6,30,000, charged at INR 2,10,000 per year. Since lateral entry students join from the second year, the overall cost is lower compared to the 4-year regular B.Tech. SPIT does not offer on-campus hostel facilities.

Ans. No separate entrance exam is required for B.Tech Lateral Entry at SPIT.
