About SEC Lateral Entry B.E.
Saveetha Engineering College offers a three-year, full-time lateral entry B.E. that lets diploma and B.Sc holders join the second year in seven branches, with 105 seats in all. Every seat is filled through TNLEA, the state lateral entry counselling. The college holds a NAAC A grade and is known for its large Computer Science and Electronics batches. The full fee is INR 1.65 Lakhs in the four NBA branches and INR 1.50 Lakhs in the other three. SEC Lateral Entry B.E. Fees
The full fee is INR 1.65 Lakhs in the four NBA branches and INR 1.50 Lakhs in the other three, for three years. You pay INR 55,000 or INR 50,000 a year, the rate the state fee committee fixes for government seats. A INR 5,000 development fee and a INR 5,000 refundable deposit are added. The college does not publish a hostel fee, so ask the office before you report.

You need a diploma in engineering with a 45% average, or a three-year B.Sc with Maths and 45%. BC, MBC, SC and ST students need 40%. You must have passed by the last date to apply. Every branch uses the same rule.

SEC Lateral Entry B.E. Scholarships
The Post Matric Scholarship pays the full fee, INR 55,000 a year in an NBA branch, for SC, SCA and ST students with family income up to INR 2.5 Lakhs. The First Graduate concession gives INR 27,500 a year and covers direct second year students too. The college's own merit scholarship is for first-year TNEA entrants, not lateral entrants.
