Ans. The total tuition fee for the 3-year B.Tech Lateral Entry in Artificial Intelligence is INR 1,50,000, charged at INR 50,000 per year. Hostel accommodation is optional and billed separately at up to INR 38,800 per year. Since the programme is 3 years instead of 4, total outlay is lower compared to the regular B.Tech.

Ans. Candidates who have completed a 3-year Diploma in Engineering or Technology from a recognised State Board or DOTE with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks are eligible. B.Sc. graduates in Computer Science or IT are eligible under a separate lateral entry quota. No separate entrance examination is required. Rank is assigned by TNLEA based on diploma aggregate marks.

Ans. The Tamil Nadu Lateral Entry Admissions (TNLEA) process is merit-based. Rank is determined entirely from the diploma aggregate marks.
