Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must hold a M.E. / M.Tech / M.Sc. / MBA or equivalent postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline from a recognised university, with a minimum of 55 percent aggregate marks (50 percent for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD candidates).

Shortlisted candidates must appear for a personal interview at SIT Tumkur to assess research aptitude and proposed area of study. Candidates with a valid ME (Mechanical Engineering) GATE score, UGC-NET, CSIR-NET (including JRF), SLET, or equivalent national fellowship are exempt from the VTU RET written test but must still attend the interview.
