SIT Tumkur Admission 2027 is open for BE, B.Arch, M.Tech, MBA, MCA, Ph.D and M.Sc (Engg) by Research. SIT is Siddaganga Institute of Technology in Tumakuru, Karnataka. It is an autonomous college affiliated to VTU, and it does not hold its own entrance test for BE. BE seats are filled through KCET and KEA counselling, through COMEDK UGET, or as management seats. The KEA code for SIT is E016, and the COMEDK code is E125. B.Arch needs a NATA score. M.Tech, MBA and MCA seats are filled through Karnataka PGCET and KEA counselling. A KCET general seat in BE cost INR 1,40,320 for the first year in 2026 to 27. KCET 2027 registration should open on 16 Jan 2027 (tentative, based on last year).
SIT Tumkur BE Admission 2027
SIT has 1,050 BE seats in 12 branches. Computer Science and Engineering is the largest, with 240 seats. Mechanical, Electronics and Communication, and Information Science have 120 seats each. Biotechnology has 30 seats, and every other branch has 60. Your rank and the order of your options decide the branch you get.

You need to pass 2nd PUC or Class 12 with Physics and Maths. Your third subject can be Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science or Electronics. You need 45% in Physics, Chemistry and Maths together. SIT offers a five year B.Arch course with 40 seats a year. The Department of Architecture teaches it, and the Council of Architecture approves it. Seats are filled through KCET and KEA counselling, and through the management quota. You need a NATA score for every seat.

Is SIT a separate university or a VTU college?▾
SIT is an autonomous college affiliated to VTU, Belagavi. It sets its own syllabus and exams, but VTU gives your degree. So your BE or B.Arch certificate shows the VTU name.
What is an SNQ seat at SIT?▾
