Placement Experience :

Students can attend the campus placements from the 6 semester onwards and by the year of their completion around 70+ companies will be visiting for recruitment. The average package was 4 to 5 lakh per annum and nearly 90% of students will be placed.

Remarks :

I've joined through TNEA counselling which required a cutoff of above 190+ for the Mechanical Department and the admission was done simply within two days after tentative allotment and it could be done only if we carry the required documents as the college listed.

Placement Experience :

The placement starts from the end of the 6th sem. Core company like royal Enfield, Caterpillar, hunday etc visit the campus and IT companies like Wipro, Infosys, Amazon, PayPal etc visit the campus. The average salary package ranges from about 5 to 8 lakhs per annum. The total placement percentage is about 85 to 95 percentage. I have decided to write competitive exams like gate and ct.

Remarks :

I came through Anna university counselling. Initially, I was alloted st. joseph college of engineering. Later I applied for upward movement in TNEA. As a result, I was allotted bSVCE. OBC reservation. The counselling process was good and well conducted. The process was smooth and instructions were given clearly. One day prior I was contacted and the procedure was explained.

Placement Experience :

students are eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester onwards. depending on the department's many companies visit with majorly visited being it companies for chemical engineering companies like Technip, spic, Petrofac visit the college for placements. The highest CTC is around 45 LPA. the percentage of students who are getting placed is around 90 percent.

Remarks :

I applied through the tnea admission portal(DOTE). And received a call letter from tnea (anna university). Admission criteria are based on purely merit anywhere between 90 - 100 percent is easily admitted for regular quota and also there is a management quota for unfortunate aspirers

Placement Experience :

Placement officer Mr Muralitharan (one of the most respected guy) ensures almost all of the students who enrolled for campus gets his offer letter by the time he leaves the coll and he succeed in that. I have seen brainy guys with 7 pointers getting placed in a company with 7 LPA and a 9 pointer getting placed in TCS. marks don't matter in placements. If u know, u can get placed in a 10 LPA company. It's not a miracle. At the time of placements, scenarios will change. 7 pointer would've got placed in a product company and he'll teach aptitude to 8 pointers. If u want to pursue your higher studies, I would say SVCE is best. Recommendation letter from the topmost professors of svce are most valuable (of course they'll not give to everyone, only those who deserve it). And in end, all of u would've known, SVCE has a strong alumni base, either they're in other countries or India, they always stay in touch.

Remarks :

After finishing grade 12th, I have decided to choose mechanical engineering for the mainstream. I planned to study within My State ( Tamil Nadu ). Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering , Sriperumbudur. Ranks among the Top universities for mechanical undergraduate Programme and The reason for choosing this college over Others ( I have applied for college such as VIT, Chennai . SRM, katankulathur). I have been selected through the management quota.

Placement Experience :

From the 6th semester students are divided into 2 groups. Those who go for higher studies(Option B) and those who opt for placements(Option A). Option A students are given placement training by continuous assessments and classes. Companies such as ZOHO, Infosys, L & T, Lucas TVS, Wipro come for placements. The coordinators and placement Officers make sure that all the students are placed.

Remarks :

SVCE is one of the top 10 colleges in Chennai. it has a good placement record(100%). It is an Autonomous college. The syllabus is condensed to the important topics for students to be stress free and learn concepts clearly. I got SVCE through merit. SVCE is the best college I could find near my location. SVCE has introduced me to many platforms such as Coursera, Internshala, Hackerrank etc. to boost my knowledge and understanding. The bad aspect may be that the hostel food may not be good. Some students feel that the hostel or transport fee are all overpriced. The library and infrastructures are great. The Multi-purpose hall can accommodate about 600-800 people. I was recommended by my teacher about this college and this college matched my cut- off. The faculties are all friendly and the practical aspects of the concepts are made clear by them.

The students become eligible for campus placements from 6th semester. More than 100 companies visit the college for campus selection among which Amazon and PayPal play a big role. Every year 98 percent of the student get placed through campus selection.

Remarks :

Good aspects: the college has a set of very experienced faculties with more than 10 years of working as teachers at the university level. The students are not pressured and are trained to do what they are interested in. There are lots of events informed by the management to make the students actively participate. Reason for preferring the college is its successful outcome every year and development of the college from the initial time till now.

Remarks :

It was a reputed college and was well established in my locality and quite well known as one of the top colleges in the whole of my state. It is one of the top 5 colleges of the state and has kept up its name since it was started. It is also well known for the branches Mechanical Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE). I was interested in ECE and this was also a factor which made me choose this college as it was well known for the course.

Placement Experience :

Over 90 companies visit the campus every year over all the departments. Packages offered range from 3,50,000- 12,00,000, which changes from company to company, while companies offering package over 8,50,000 recruit only 1-3 students. So, the average package offered is 4,50,000. The placement process varies from company to company and mostly consists of 4 rounds- a test, group discussion (some companies), 2 technical interviews and a HR interview. The Entrepreneur cell conducts events regularly and invites notable entrepreneurs to speak.

Ques. Which one is best: the RMK engineering college or the Sri venkateshwara engineering college around Chennai?

● Top Answer By Arjita Majumdar on 01 Jun 21

Ans. Sri Venkateswara Engineering College (SVEC) is better than RMK engineering college around Chennai. One of my cousins being part of the institute has her own opinions regarding the same, let me share some of them which will give you a clear idea.  You will have a good standard of peers that will improve your exposure. It will help in developing quite a number of contacts. If you are planning to pursue your post-graduation, then enroll in SVEC. More than 30% of the students plan it (Post Graduation) early in their career.  In terms of placements, you should possibly have no second thoughts, because SVEC is the best, only after SSN. Besides, SVEC also comes with a brand value that can add up to your exposure.   Placements -  Categories RMK Engineering College Sri Venkateswara Engineering College Placement Percentage 85% 84% Highest CTC 9-10 LPA 15 LPA Average CTC 5-6 LPA 3-4 LPA Recruiting Companies TCS, Wipro, Infosys, IBM, etc. Go Speedy Go, Amazon, Accenture, Tech Mahindra, etc. The only possible downside is that the institute does not usually focus highly on Cultural Fests, unlike when most others do.Read more
