Is an entrance exam required for B.Com admission at NM College?

No entrance exam is required for B.Com, BAF, BFM, BMF, B.Com Economics, or B.Sc (AI and DA) at NM College. Admission is purely merit-based on Class 12 board percentage through the University of Mumbai merit list process.

What is the minimum Class 12 percentage needed for NMCCE B.Com admission?

The minimum is 45% in Class 12 for most B.Com specialisations at NM College. B.Com Accounting and Finance (BAF) requires a minimum of 50%. B.Sc (Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics) requires 45% with Mathematics in Class 12.

Is MAH BMS BBA CET mandatory for BMS admission at NM College?

Accepted Answer

Yes. BMS admission at NMCCE requires a valid MAH BMS BBA CET score from the Maharashtra State CET Cell. Class 12 marks are also factored in by the University of Mumbai during centralised seat allotment. There is no direct BMS admission without the CET.

Do students from NMCCE Junior College get admission priority?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Students from NM Colleges own Junior College get first priority for all F.Y.B.Com seats. This is mandated by the Bombay High Court up to the full sanctioned class capacity. External candidates are admitted only if seats remain after in-house admissions are complete.

What is the NMCCE admission application fee?

Accepted Answer

The application fee is INR 500 for General and OBC candidates. SC and ST candidates pay INR 250. The fee is paid online during the Phase I application on nmcollege.in.

Question 6

Can students from non-Maharashtra boards or other states apply to NM College?

Accepted Answer

Yes. NMCCE admission is open to students from all recognised boards across India. All candidates must complete University of Mumbai pre-enrollment at mu.ac.in under the autonomous college category before applying to the college.

Question 7

What is the two-phase application process at NM College?

Accepted Answer

NMCCE admission has two phases. Phase I is the pre-admission form submitted on nmcollege.in along with documents in person. Phase II is the post-admission form filled on nmcollege.in after a candidates name appears in the merit list. Both phases are mandatory. Missing Phase II forfeits the seat even if the fee is unpaid.

Question 8

Is direct admission or management quota available at NM College?

Accepted Answer

NMCCE does not offer direct admission through a management quota. All B.Com and B.Sc seats are filled through University of Mumbai merit lists. BMS seats are filled through the MAH BMS BBA CET-based centralised allotment process.
