Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies admits students on the basis of merits obtained by them in the DU JAT examination conducted by the University of Delhi. Candidates with 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized board can appear for DU JAT exam. The application fee for the exam is 500 INR for General and 250 INR for reserved category students.
Before appearing to the DU JAT, students need to fill up a pre-admission form released by the University of Delhi. The form is common to all applicants and is centralized by the University among all the colleges affiliated to it. Once the cut-off is announced, students can match their eligibility criteria and if their marks fall within the cut-off they are eligible to apply for the courses at Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies.

On the day of counseling, applicants need to submit course fee and all the necessary documents required at the time of admission. The documents required are as follows:
International Students applying at SSCBS can visit Foreign Student’s Registry- http://fsr.du.ac.in/ for registration. Admission is given to them by the Office of the Foreign Students Advisor only when they successfully pass the medical fitness test conducted within the first month of admission. Till then the admission is on provision for them. Along with the required documents, foreign students will have to submit an additional amount of $ 100 at the time of admission.

Students are offered packages between 5 LPA to 17 LPA, which means students can earn a minimum of 30-35K/per month. Below are some stats from previous academic years showing:
Graph 1: No. of offers received in 2014 was 150 which increased in 2015 to 187. In 2016, the no. decreased to 125 which was very less in comparison to offers received in the previous year. 2017 saw a rise of 31 more offers from the companies. The total offers received were 156 in 2017.
Graph 2: The placement rate of SSCBS is increasing year-by-year. From a 60.24% placement rate in the academic year 2014-15, the college has reached a placement rate of 82.89 % in 2017-18.
Graph 3: Students placed in different companies are offered a good package. The package rate has also seen a rise from 8.9 LPA as Highest Package offered in 2014-15 to 16.2 LPA in 2018-19. 2017-18 was the year where the highest package offered was 17 LPA.
