About PSG Tech MBA
PSG Tech offers a two-year, full-time MBA through PSG Institute of Management (PSGIM), its business school on the Coimbatore campus. There are 270 seats: 240 in the main MBA and 30 in the MBA in Waste Management and Social Entrepreneurship. This page covers four specialisations that have their own course pages. The main MBA costs INR 92,000 for two years and the Waste Management MBA INR 80,000, before hostel. Seats come through TANCET counselling, or through PSGIM's own application with a CAT, MAT, ATMA or TANCET score and an interview. In 2025-26 the general quota closed at 99.091 TANCET marks for the main MBA and 97.438 for Waste Management. All 210 graduates of 2025 were placed, at a median of INR 9 LPA.

PSG Tech MBA Fees
The main MBA costs INR 92,000 without hostel and INR 2.92 Lakhs with the men's hostel. The tuition fee is INR 46,000 a year, fixed by the State Fee Committee for an NBA accredited MBA; the Waste Management MBA is not accredited yet, so it costs INR 40,000 a year. You pay each semester's fee within 10 working days of the start. The next 10 working days carry a fine.

PSG Tech MBA Eligibility
You need a degree in any subject with 60% marks for the main MBA, or 55% for the Waste Management MBA. You also need a CAT, MAT, ATMA or TANCET score, and the government quota seats take TANCET only. Final-year students can apply; the seat stays provisional until you pass.

PSG Tech MBA Admission Process
There are two ways in: the PSGIM application with its selection round, and Tamil Nadu MBA counselling on your TANCET mark. You can try both in the same year. The seat is yours once you pay the fee and report with your papers.

PSG Tech MBA Branches and Specialisations
The main MBA has 240 seats at INR 92,000, and Finance, HR and Marketing sit inside it. The Waste Management MBA is a separate programme with 30 seats at INR 80,000. In the main MBA you choose the specialisation in year 2, so the seat is shared. Every name below opens its own course page. PSGIM also lists Business Analytics and Decision Science, which have no course page yet.

The general quota for the main MBA closed at 99.091 TANCET marks in 2025-26, and for Waste Management at 97.438. The last student admitted through the government quota had 88.467 in the main MBA. These are TANCET marks from the college's disclosure; the PSGIM route publishes no cutoff.

PSG Tech MBA Scholarships
The Tamil Nadu post-matric scholarship covers the full INR 92,000 tuition for SC and ST students with family income up to INR 2.5 Lakhs. PSG's own fee waiver gives INR 35,000 to students with family income below INR 6 Lakhs, picked on their entrance marks. Seven MBA students got that waiver in 2025-26.

PSG Tech MBA Hostel and Campus
The men's hostel costs INR 1,00,000 a year and the women's hostel INR 90,000, for boarding and lodging. Hostel is optional, and PSGIM says every student who wants a room gets one. The school sits on the PSG Tech campus in Peelamedu, on Avinashi Road.

Skip it if:
You want a large batch and a wide peer group: this programme has only 30 seats, against 240 in the main MBA.

Counsellor's advice
If your TANCET mark sits between the two 2025-26 closes, 97.438 and 99.091, list Waste Management first in counselling; above 99.091, put the main MBA first. On the PSGIM route apply to both, as each keeps its own selection list.

IT and IT enabled services firms made the most offers in 2025-26, with banking and finance, then consulting, next on PSGIM's sector chart.
PSGIM's own MBA students took 190 campus offers in 2021-22, 187 in 2024-25 and 161 in 2025-26.
Across the MBA and its partner programmes, the 2025-26 average of INR 7.71 LPA sat just INR 0.21 LPA above the median, so a few big offers barely move it.
The NIRF median rose from INR 8.5 LPA for the classes of 2023 and 2024 to INR 9 LPA for the class of 2025.
