KASC Ph.D. Biotechnology Admission 2026
Ph.D. admissions at KASC are conducted through Bharathiar University's centralised research admission process, held twice a year (June/July session and December session). For the December 2026 session, the online application window was open from October 11 to November 15, 2026. Admission is through NET/INSPIRE qualification or through the Bharathiar University Common Entrance Test (CET) followed by an interview at the respective college/department. For the June/July 2027 session, applications are expected to open around June-July 2027.

Admission is through NET/INSPIRE qualification or Bharathiar University CET followed by an interview. Candidates are advised to check the official Bharathiar University website (b-u.ac.in) for the latest notification.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Biotechnology or a related discipline (M.Sc. Biochemistry, Microbiology, Zoology, Botany, Chemistry, or B.Tech Biotechnology) with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST) from a recognised university.
- The candidate must have completed a PG degree with a total of 17 years of study (10+2+3+2 or equivalent pattern).
- Candidates with M.Phil. degree may be exempted from the entrance test as per UGC/Bharathiar University regulations.
Admission Process:
- Apply online through the Bharathiar University research admission portal (fms.b-u.ac.in/research) during the notified application window.
- Pay the application fee as specified in the notification.
- Appear for the Bharathiar University Common Entrance Test (CET) if not NET/INSPIRE qualified.
- Attend the interview conducted by the department at KASC.
- Selection is based on CET/NET/INSPIRE marks and interview performance.
- Upon selection, complete the registration formalities at KASC and pay the course fee.
- Allotment of a research supervisor (guide) is done by the department as per availability and research area.
