ACT Anna University Admission Process

B.Tech Admission

B.Tech admissions at ACT are entirely through TNEA centralised counselling by Anna University. No separate entrance exam is held and there is no management quota at this government institution.

  • Eligibility: 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects, plus Mathematics for most specialisations. Minimum 45% aggregate (40% for reserved categories).
  • TNEA rank is computed entirely from Plus Two PCM board marks.
  • Candidates must register on the TNEA portal, verify certificates, and participate in online counselling rounds.
  • TNEA 2025 closing ranks at ACT for General category: Chemical Engineering closed around the 4,799 mark (AI category). Ceramic Technology had a wider closing rank band as a less competitive branch.
