SLRTCE Admission Dates 2026

Admissions for the 2026 academic session are anchored by MHT CET 2026 (PCM group) for BE programmes. DTE Maharashtra conducts centralised CAP rounds that cover all government and private engineering colleges affiliated to Mumbai University, including SLRTCE.

SLRTCE Courses and Fees

SLRTCE offers engineering and management programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The BE programme spans six branches, all carrying an identical four-year total fee - a uniform fee policy uncommon among private engineering colleges in Maharashtra. ME is priced notably lower than most PG engineering programmes in the region.

NBA accreditation covers three branches: Computer Engineering, Information Technology, and Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. These branches meet the Washington Accord-aligned quality benchmarks set by the National Board of Accreditation.

SLRTCE Admission Process

SLRTCE follows two distinct admission pathways: DTE Maharashtra centralised admission for BE and a direct institutional process for PGDM. The eligibility criteria and selection stages differ by programme family.

BE Admission

Eligibility for BE requires a pass in Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics (compulsory) plus Chemistry, Computer Science, or Biology as the third subject. Minimum aggregate in PCM is 50% for the Open category and 45% for SC/ST candidates from Maharashtra. Admission is through the DTE Maharashtra CAP (Centralised Admission Process).

MHT CET Round 4 cutoff at SLRTCE for the 2025 cycle ranged from 5.31 to 88.98 percentile across all categories and branches. Computer Engineering and Information Technology branches consistently attract higher cutoffs than Civil and Mechanical branches.

BE Lateral Entry

Diploma holders from DTE-approved polytechnics in a relevant branch are eligible. Admission is through the DTE Maharashtra BE lateral entry process based on Diploma aggregate marks. Candidates enter directly into the second year of BE.

ME and PGDM Admission

ME admission requires a BE/B.Tech degree in the relevant branch. Selection is based on GATE score or MHT CET (PG) score through the DTE Maharashtra PG CAP process. For PGDM, candidates need a graduate degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50%. PGDM admission is through institutional counselling based on scores in CAT, CMAT, MAH MBA CET, XAT, or GMAT.

Management Quota

SLRTCE Placements

The SLRTCE Training and Placement Cell coordinates campus drives with companies from IT services, manufacturing, and financial services sectors. The college reports that approximately 80% of eligible students are placed through campus drives each year, with additional placements through pool campus drives organised by industry partners.

Confirmed recruiters visiting the SLRTCE campus include TCS, Cognizant, IBM, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, L&T Infotech, Genpact, Neebal Technologies, and Newgen Software. Students not placed through campus drives participate in pool drives and off-campus opportunities facilitated by the Placement Cell.

SLRTCE Campus and Infrastructure

SLRTCE is located at Mira Road East in Thane district, with direct rail connectivity via the Western Railway suburban network. The campus houses multiple industry-collaboration labs alongside standard engineering facilities.

Key infrastructure includes an SAP Centre of Excellence for ERP training, a Cybersecurity Investigation Lab aligned with the B.Voc Cybersecurity programme, an Edunet Centre of Excellence for AI and data skills, and a Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning Centre for HVAC training. The E-Yantra Lab is set up in partnership with IIT Bombay for embedded systems and robotics. An incubation centre named Vyavasay Abhyas Niketan supports student entrepreneurship initiatives. SLRTCE vs Thakur College of Engineering vs Pillai College of Engineering

Aspirants shortlisting private engineering colleges affiliated to the University of Mumbai often compare SLRTCE with Thakur College of Engineering and Technology (TCET) in Kandivali and Pillai College of Engineering (PCE) in Navi Mumbai. All three serve the same Mumbai metropolitan applicant pool and admit through DTE Maharashtra CAP rounds using MHT CET scores.

SLRTCE offers a distinctive PGDM programme alongside engineering degrees, which gives it an edge for students looking to pivot to management after engineering.
