A senior of us got in GMR Group which desinged many airports like hyderabad airport. Starting salay was 35000 rupee per month. Many others persued individual dream like photography, videography, art and drawing, some others chose M.arch, and M.plan - all this because architecture is a creative field. Internship happens in fourth Year, many architecture firms accept the students from our due to its reputation, and as an institution of national importance.
Only in the year 2018 placement has started in the college. The placements are not conducted yet, but, this year, they are trying to bring the companies, which is not yet successful, but hopefully, it will happen soon. The planning department has a placement cell, but the architecture departments do not. This year, a mail to various architectural firms were sent regarding the placements. But no official announcement is made yet.
Internship is compulsory for a semester in fourth year as part of the curriculum. The college does not help in finding internship. you will have to do it ourselves. In case somebody is not able to find it at all then the faculty help those ppl.
currently the college is new so there is a struggle going on related to placement in companies.although hopefully very soon the director will make special efforts to improve the situation and hopefully companies will come.but its not very hard to find a job on your own.because there is a lot of scope to do so.
In school of planning and architecture Vijayawada many projects are there.so internship are available. But placement I don't have any idea about that.but I know master people are have placement in our college.
The job opportunities depend entirely on student and his potential. Since this College has a good reputation in our field of architecture, a graduate student from this College has better employment chance compared from other Colleges. Our College do provide internship program but the stipend is given for the GATE qualified students which is common in other Colleges too.
Placements happen sometimes but its a rare scenario. Mostly architecture students get benefited out of it. We have to do internship programme at least twice in planning graduation and once for six months in Architecture But thats not provided by the college
B.ARCH AND B.PLAN being the only two the the college provides in the ug course and also being professional courses most prefer to start making the own path but still there is a placement cell which works excellent. Regarding the internship the b.arch students have a entire 6 months paid internship during the 8th semester and the b.plan students do their summer internship.
The placement cell has just strated functioning. Internships are to be chosen by the student and no involvement is shown by the college or faculty. However once admitted for internship, the college keeps close checks and guides the offices.
There are very few placements provided in SPAV. But our college does provide internship. Internship is compulsory for both Planning and Architecture courses. I did my summer internship from an MNC in Chennai, for which I got my contact from a senior faculty in our college. The internship also provided me with stipend.
No it doesn't.There are a very few companies which come here to conduct a job interview the no of posts will also be very out numbered.Even though the College helps us in getting internships etc.
