Length and Height are important parameters that are used to describe the three dimensional geometric shapes. Length describes how long the shape is while Height indicates how tall a shape is. Length is horizontal measurement in a plane that is measured along the X-axis whereas Height is the vertical measurement that is measured along the Y-axis.

Length is the longest dimension of an object. It is the horizontal extension of an object which is measured along X – axis on a graph. The measurement of the distance from one point to another point is called length. It represents the degree of extension between two points on the horizontal plane. Height is also a measure of distance but of vertical distance of the object. It measures the vertical distance from the lowest point to the top. In geometry, height of an object is usually labeled as an altitude. It is measured along Y-axis of an object within the coordinate geometry. Height tells us how tall someone or something is. It is usually measured in centimeters, inches, feet, meter etc.
