What is MPBSE Result 2027?
The MPBSE Result 2027 is the official outcome of the annual board examinations conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) for Class 10 (High School Certificate / HSC) and Class 12 (Higher Secondary School Certificate / HSSC) students across Madhya Pradesh. Established in 1965 and headquartered in Bhopal, MPBSE is one of the largest examining boards in India, with over 16 lakh students appearing for its board exams every year.
The result shows your subject-wise marks, overall percentage, grade in each subject, division, and pass or fail status. After declaration, students receive the original printed marksheet through their school. The digital version is instantly available on DigiLocker and is legally accepted for college admissions, scholarship applications, and government purposes.
MPBSE releases separate result links for Class 10 and Class 12, but typically declares both on the same day. Every year, the board also runs a Second Main Exam cycle — MPBSE’s official name for the supplementary exam — for students who fail in up to two subjects, giving them a second shot without repeating the full year.

MPBSE Result Previous Year Statistics
MPBSE results have shown clear improvement since 2023. Class 12 bounced from a four-year low of 55.28% in 2023 to 76.01% in 2026 — a gain of over 20 percentage points in three cycles. Class 10 hit a 15-year high of 76.22% in 2025, then eased to 73.42% in 2026. Girls consistently outperform boys across both classes in every year on record — in 2026, 235 of the 378 Class 10 merit list students were girls.

| Year | Candidates Appeared (approx.) | Overall Pass % | Girls Pass % | Boys Pass % | Result Date |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2026 | ~7.5 lakh | 76.01% | 79.41% | ~72.61% | April 15, 2026 |

| 2022 | ~8 lakh | 72.72% | Higher than boys | – | April 2022 |
The gender performance gap in Class 12 has stayed remarkably stable — roughly 6–8 percentage points in girls’ favour — even as the overall pass percentage swung from 55% to 76% over four years. This suggests a structural advantage, not a year-specific effect. In Class 10, the 2024 dip to 58.10% was the sharpest in recent memory; the recovery to 76.22% in 2025 (the highest in 15 years) shows the board’s strong rebound. The 2027 result is expected to remain in the 70–76% band if exam difficulty stays consistent with 2025–2026.

Alternative Ways to Check MPBSE Result 2027
| Method | How to Use |
|---|---|
| DigiLocker | Log in at digilocker.gov.in with your Aadhaar-linked mobile number. Your MPBSE marksheet appears under Education → Board Results once MPBSE uploads it (usually within a few hours of declaration). |
| UMANG App | Download the UMANG app (Android/iOS), go to Education, search for MPBSE, and enter your roll number. |
| SMS | For Class 10: type MP10 [Roll Number] and send to 56263. For Class 12: type MP12 [Roll Number] and send to 56263. Standard SMS charges apply. |
| School Noticeboard | Your school displays class-wise results. If the portal is slow right after declaration, your school is a reliable fallback. |
The MPBSE result portal typically experiences very high traffic in the first few hours. If it won’t load, try DigiLocker — it usually comes up faster and is a legally valid alternative for most purposes.
Ques. What do I need to check MPBSE Result 2027?
Ans. You need your MPBSE roll number and application number, both printed on your admit card. For DigiLocker, use your Aadhaar-linked mobile number. For the SMS method, only the roll number is required — send MP10 [Roll Number] (Class 10) or MP12 [Roll Number] (Class 12) to 56263.
Ques. Is the DigiLocker MPBSE marksheet valid for college admissions?
Ans. Yes. The MPBSE marksheet on DigiLocker is digitally signed and legally accepted by most colleges and universities in India for admission. Carry both the DigiLocker version and the downloaded provisional marksheet to your admissions process — some institutions still ask for a physical copy.
MPBSE Result 2027: Marksheet Details
When the result is declared, you can download a provisional digital marksheet from result.mponline.gov.in. Your school distributes the original board-certified marksheet a few months later. Until then, the downloaded copy and the DigiLocker version work for college admissions and scholarship applications at most institutions.

| Father’s / Mother’s Name | As registered with MPBSE |
| Roll Number | MPBSE-assigned examination roll number |
| School Name and Code | Full school name and MPBSE school code |

MPBSE Passing Marks 2027
To pass MPBSE 2027, you need a minimum of 33% in every subject. For subjects with both theory and practical components, the 33% rule applies separately to each — you can’t average out a low theory score against a high practical score. Both must independently cross the threshold.
| Qualifying Criteria | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Minimum marks in theory (per subject) | 33% of the theory marks for that subject |
| Minimum marks in practical (per subject) | 33% of the practical marks for that subject |
| Subjects required to clear | All compulsory and elective subjects |
| Second Main Exam eligibility | Fail in 1 or 2 subjects in the main exam |
| Must repeat the year | Fail in 3 or more subjects in the main exam |
Failing in just one or two subjects doesn’t mean repeating the year. The Second Main Exam — scheduled June 15–30, 2027 — gives you a direct second attempt at only those subjects. Pass it, and MPBSE marks you as "Pass" for the full board.
Ques. What are the passing marks for MPBSE 2027?
Ans. You need 33% in each subject to pass MPBSE 2027. For subjects with practical exams, both the theory and practical components must independently meet the 33% threshold. An average of 33% across both is not sufficient — each part must qualify on its own.
Ques. What happens if I fail in one subject in MPBSE 2027?
Ans. Failing in one or two subjects makes you eligible for the MPBSE Second Main Exam 2027 (June 15–30, 2027). You appear only in the failed subjects. Pass it and your result gets updated to "Pass" — no need to repeat the year. Students failing in three or more subjects must reappear as regular or private candidates in the 2028 main exam cycle.
MPBSE Grading System 2027
MPBSE assigns a letter grade to each subject alongside the marks. Your marksheet shows both the actual marks and the grade. For Class 12, MPBSE also awards an overall Division — First, Second, or Third — based on your aggregate percentage. Here is the complete breakdown:
MPBSE Subject-wise Grade Scale
| Grade | Marks Range | Grade Points | Performance Level |
|---|---|---|---|
| A1 | 91 – 100 | 10 | Outstanding |
| A2 | 81 – 90 | 9 | Excellent |
| B1 | 71 – 80 | 8 | Very Good |
| B2 | 61 – 70 | 7 | Good |
| C1 | 51 – 60 | 6 | Average |
| C2 | 41 – 50 | 5 | Satisfactory |
| D | 33 – 40 | 4 | Pass |
| E1 | 21 – 32 | 0 | Fail (Grace marks may apply) |
| E2 | 0 – 20 | 0 | Fail |
MPBSE Division System (Class 12)
| Division | Overall Percentage Required |
|---|---|
| First Division | 60% and above |
| Second Division | 45% – 59% |
| Third Division | 33% – 44% |
| Fail | Below 33% in any single subject |
Grade E1 (21–32 marks) is the zone where grace marks can make the difference between fail and pass — the board may push your score to 33 automatically. Grade E2 (0–20) is a harder fail where grace marks typically don’t apply. Many government jobs and MP state college admissions ask for First Division — scoring 60% or above in Class 12 is the key threshold to aim for.
MPBSE Result 2027: Previous Year Toppers
MPBSE announces state-level toppers for Class 10 and Class 12 on the result day. The 2027 topper list will be out in April 2027 once the result is declared. For reference, here are the confirmed toppers from the most recent two years:
MPBSE Class 10 — Recent State Toppers
| Year | Topper Name | District | Score |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2025 | Pragya Jaiswal | Singrauli | 500/500 (Perfect Score) |
| 2026 | Pratibha Singh Solanki | Panna | 499/500 |
| 2027 | To be announced after result | – | – |
MPBSE Class 12 — Recent State Toppers
| Year | Topper Name | Details |
|---|---|---|
| 2026 | Khushi Roy | State topper, Class 12 |
| 2027 | To be announced after result | – |
Girls have dominated the MPBSE top ranks consistently. In 2025, Pragya Jaiswal from Singrauli became the first student in recent history to score a perfect 500/500 in Class 10. In 2026, the Class 10 merit list had 235 girls versus 143 boys out of 378 merit list students — nearly two-thirds were girls. MPBSE 2027 toppers will be announced on the result day at mpbse.nic.in.
MPBSE Grace Marks Policy 2027
MPBSE has a grace marks provision to help students who fall just short of the passing threshold. The board applies grace marks automatically — you don’t need to apply separately.
- Grace marks are considered for students in the E1 grade zone (21–32 marks) — those who narrowly miss the 33% passing mark.
- The board may push such scores up to 33 (the minimum to pass) automatically during result processing.
- Grace marks already appear in the final marks shown on your marksheet — the marks are the post-grace figure.
- Grace marks can shift your status from "Second Main Exam eligible" to "Pass", or lift your overall percentage into a higher division.
- The exact criteria for 2027 will be in MPBSE’s official result notification — check mpbse.nic.in for the update around result time.
Grace marks are a safety buffer for borderline cases — they are not guaranteed. If you score in the E2 zone (0–20), grace marks typically won’t apply. The Second Main Exam is the more reliable route if you fall clearly below 33%.
MPBSE Second Main Exam 2027
Second Main Exam is MPBSE’s official name for the supplementary examination — introduced as a rebranding in 2026. For 2027, it runs from June 15 to June 30, 2027, with practical exams starting from June 11, 2027. Students who fail in one or two subjects in the main exam get a direct second attempt at just those subjects, without repeating the entire year. Passing the Second Main Exam earns the same certificate as the main exam — there is no difference on the certificate itself.
| Detail | Information |
|---|---|
| Who can appear | Students failing in 1 or 2 subjects in the MPBSE 2027 main exam |
| Subjects covered | Only the specific subjects the student failed in the main exam |
| Second Main Exam Dates | June 15 – June 30, 2027 |
| Practical Exams (Second Main) | June 11 – June 30, 2027 |
| Expected Result | July – August 2027 (tentative) |
| How to apply | Through school or MPBSE portal within the window after main result |
| Who must repeat the year | Students failing in 3 or more subjects in the main exam |
Students failing in three or more subjects in the main exam are not eligible for the Second Main Exam — they must reappear as regular or private students in the 2028 main exam cycle. Once the Second Main Exam result is declared, MPBSE updates your marksheet and result status to reflect the revised marks.
Ques. When is the MPBSE Second Main Exam 2027?
Ans. The MPBSE Second Main Exam 2027 runs from June 15 to June 30, 2027, as confirmed in the official MPBSE 2027 timetable. Practical exams start from June 11, 2027. Applications open after the main result is declared in April 2027 — your school will guide you on the process and applicable fee.
MPBSE Result 2027: Retotalling and Revaluation
If your marks seem unexpectedly low, MPBSE gives you two options: retotalling, which rechecks the addition and completeness of marking, and revaluation, which gets your answer sheet re-evaluated by a fresh examiner. Both windows open within about a week of the result. MPBSE’s policy is that marks do not decrease on revaluation — only upward revisions are applied.
| Process | What It Covers | Can Marks Decrease? | Approx. Fee |
|---|---|---|---|
| Retotalling | Recalculation of total; checks if any answer was left unmarked or addition error occurred | No — marks stay same or increase | ~₹100 per subject |
| Revaluation | Full re-marking of answer sheet by a different examiner | No — MPBSE policy does not reduce marks on revaluation | ~₹500 – ₹800 per subject |
Apply through mpbse.nic.in or your school. Pay the fee online. If revaluation changes your marks enough to cross a threshold — from Fail to Pass, or from Second Division to First Division — MPBSE issues a revised marksheet. Check the official MPBSE 2027 notification on mpbse.nic.in for the exact fee schedule and deadline for this cycle, as fees are updated periodically.
Ques. How do I apply for MPBSE retotalling or revaluation 2027?
Ans. After the result is declared, MPBSE opens a retotalling and revaluation window on mpbse.nic.in — usually within a week. Log in with your roll number, select the subject(s), pay the fee online (retotalling ~₹100/subject, revaluation ~₹500–800/subject), and submit. The window typically stays open for 20–30 days. Save your application confirmation number to track status.
What After MPBSE Result 2027?
Once the MPBSE 2027 result is out, your next steps depend on whether you’re in Class 10 or Class 12 and what the result shows. Here’s what to do.
After MPBSE Class 10 Result 2027
- If you pass, you can enroll in Class 11 at any school in Madhya Pradesh or elsewhere. Most schools open Class 11 admissions in May–June 2027. Choose your stream — Science, Commerce, or Arts — based on your marks and interests; Science typically requires at least 55–60% in Class 10 maths and science, though cut-offs vary by school.
- For diploma or ITI courses after Class 10, check the MP State Polytechnic and ITI admission portals — applications usually open in June–July 2027.
- Students from SC/ST/OBC/EWS categories should apply for post-matric scholarships on the MP Scholarship Portal as soon as the window opens after result declaration.
After MPBSE Class 12 Result 2027
- Your Class 12 marks are the gateway to undergraduate admissions. National-level exams like CUET (central universities), NEET (medical), and JEE Main (engineering) use Class 12 results for eligibility — keep your marksheet handy for counselling and document verification.
- MP government college admissions run through the MP Online counselling portal. UG admissions typically open in June–July 2027 after the Class 12 result.
- If you scored 70% or above in Class 12, check your eligibility for the Mukhyamantri Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojana, which covers tuition fees at government-run colleges in MP.
- Private colleges in MP run their own admission portals — watch their websites from May 2027. Most ask for Class 12 marks, category certificates, and a migration certificate if you’re coming from another board.

FAQs
Ques. When will MPBSE Result 2027 be declared?
Ans. MPBSE Result 2027 is expected in April 2027. In both 2024 and 2026, the board declared results on April 15; in 2025, it came on May 6. No official date has been announced for 2027 yet — check mpbse.nic.in for the confirmed date as the exams approach.
Ques. Where can I check MPBSE Result 2027?
Ans. Check your result at result.mponline.gov.in, mpbse.mponline.gov.in, or mpbse.nic.in. You can also access it on DigiLocker (digilocker.gov.in) and the UMANG app. For SMS, send MP10 [Roll Number] (Class 10) or MP12 [Roll Number] (Class 12) to 56263. If the portal is slow, DigiLocker is the fastest alternative.
Ques. Are MPBSE Class 10 and Class 12 results declared on the same day?
Ans. Yes. MPBSE typically declares Class 10 and Class 12 results together on the same day. This was the pattern in 2024 (April 15) and 2026 (April 15), as well as 2025 (May 6). The 2027 results are expected to follow the same combined declaration.
Ques. How many students appear for MPBSE board exams?
Ans. Over 16 lakh students appear for MPBSE board exams each year across Class 10 and Class 12 combined. In 2026, about 8.7 lakh students appeared for Class 10 alone. MPBSE is one of the largest state board examination systems in India.
Ques. What is the MPBSE Second Main Exam 2027?
Ans. The MPBSE Second Main Exam is the board’s official name for the supplementary exam. Students who fail in one or two subjects in the main board exam can appear in just those subjects in the Second Main Exam (June 15–30, 2027). Pass it, and your result gets updated to "Pass" — no need to repeat the year. Students failing in three or more subjects must reappear in the full 2028 main exam cycle.
Ques. Do girls perform better than boys in MPBSE exams?
Ans. Yes, consistently. Girls outperform boys in both Class 10 and Class 12 every year. In 2026, Class 12 girls passed at 79.41% versus ~72.61% for boys. In Class 10, 235 of the 378 merit list students were girls. In 2024, Class 10 girls passed at 61.87% versus 54.35% for boys. This gender performance gap of 6–8 percentage points has held for at least six consecutive years.
Ques. What percentage is needed for First Division in MPBSE?
Ans. You need 60% or above to get First Division in MPBSE Class 12. Second Division is 45–59%, and Third Division is 33–44%. Many government college admissions and government job eligibility criteria in MP require First Division, so the 60% threshold is an important target for Class 12 students.
Ques. Will marks decrease if I apply for MPBSE revaluation 2027?
Ans. No. MPBSE’s revaluation policy does not reduce marks — only upward revisions are applied. If the fresh examiner awards more marks, the higher score stands. If their evaluation matches the original, the marks stay unchanged. You can apply for revaluation on mpbse.nic.in within the window (about a week after result) at approximately ₹500–800 per subject.
Ques. Can I get a migration certificate from MPBSE to join a college outside MP?
Ans. Yes. If you’re joining a college or university outside Madhya Pradesh, you need a migration certificate from MPBSE. Apply for it through your school or directly on the MPBSE portal after your result is declared. The fee and process details will be available on mpbse.nic.in.
Ques. What should I do if there is an error in my MPBSE marksheet?
Ans. If you spot an error in your name, date of birth, subject marks, or school code on the digital marksheet, report it to your school principal immediately. Your school submits a correction request to MPBSE with supporting documents (like Aadhaar or birth certificate). Act quickly — correction windows are limited, and an uncorrected error can cause delays at college admission or during document verification.
Ques. When will the original MPBSE marksheet reach my school?
Ans. The original board-certified marksheet reaches schools typically 2–4 months after the result is declared. For 2027, if the result comes in April, physical marksheets should reach schools around July–August 2027. Until then, the provisional marksheet from result.mponline.gov.in and the DigiLocker version are accepted by most institutions for admissions.
