Example From Class 7 Chapter 8 Comparing Quantities
| Ques. Convert 112.5% into decimal and fractions. Ans. Converting to decimal we get, 112.5% = 112.5 x 1/100 =\(\frac{1125}{10} \times \frac{1}{100}\) = \(\frac{1125}{1000}\) = 1.125 Converting to fraction we get, 112.5% = 112.5 x 1/100 =\(\frac{1125}{10} \times \frac{1}{100}\) = \(\frac{1125}{1000}\) Dividing numerator and denominator by 5 we get, = \(\frac{225}{200}\) Again simplifying the fraction further by dividing the numerator and denominator by 5 we get, = \(\frac{45}{40}\) Simplifying further by dividing once again by 5 (both numerator and denominator) = \(\frac{9}{8}\) |
