Nitrous oxide is a colourless, non-toxic gas which is frequently used as a pain relief or for sedation, however, it is also used by human beings to feel intoxicated. What is Nitrous Oxide?
In the year 1772, Joseph Priestley discovered nitrous oxide, which is nonflammable and colourless at room temperature. It is one of the variables of oxides of nitrogen. In addition to its use as an anaesthetic, nitrous oxide (N2O) may also be used as a form of pain relief. This makes it especially suitable for other types of medical applications. It is also called laughing gas due to its chemical composition.
