    UPSEE MBA Eligibility: UPSEE MBA 2020 is conducted for admissions to first year MBA Programs offered by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow (APJAKTU). The examination is scheduled for May 10, 2020 and will be held in offline mode. The application forms have been available from January 27, 2020.

    Latest: The application deadline for UPSEE has been extended from March 15 to March 30, 2020

    Candidates should check the eligibility criteriabefore applying for UPSEE MBA 2020.  If any candidate is found ineligible for the exam his or her candidature will be cancelled. A bachelor degree holder with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks can apply for the exam.

    Eligibility Criteria for UPSEE MBA 2020

    Candidates willing to take admission in 1st year MBA Course in institutions affiliated to AKTU, Lucknow should fulfill following UPSEE MBA 2020 Eligibility criteria :-

    • Candidate must have done a 3 years bachelor degree from a recognized University/ equivalent/ A.I.U University.
    • They should have obtained minimum 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST candidates) in total aggregate.
    • Candidate must have studied and cleared Mathematics subject in Class 12 or Graduation level.
    • There is no age limit for the candidates.

    Candidates seeking admission in other U.P. Universities must have completed Bachelor degree in 3 years along with fulfilling the Institute Wise UPSEE MBA 2020 Eligibility Criteria as mentioned below :-

    UPSEE MBA 2020 Eligibility Criteria for NRI Candidates

    15% of total seat intake will be available for NRI candidates in various institutes under management quota. The seats will be filled as per following preference order:-

    • A relative merit list cum rank list will be used to decide the preference.
    • Second preference will be given to UPSEE 2020 Qualifiers. Candidates relative merit list will be used as the a deciding factor.
    • For admission to first year of MBA in any institution affiliated to AKTU, the candidate should hold a minimum 3 years Bachelor degree from any recognized University with minimum 50% marks in aggregate without any grace marks (For SC/ST it is 45%).

    Category Definition for UPSEE MBA 2020

    All UPSEE 2020 test-takers will be divided into following mentioned categories. Candidates will be given UPSEE MBA 2020 Reservation on the basis of the category they belong to.

    • Category 1: Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from an institution located in Uttar Pradesh and who do not claim for any reserved category will fall under General Category. Their code is UPGE. For such candidates, no category certificate is required.
    • Category 2: All Schedule Caste (SC)/Schedule Tribe (ST) /Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates of U.P. who have passed the qualifying examination from an institution located in the State of U.P and have domicile of U.P. can apply for admission against available reserved seats of their category. Codes for these categories are UPSC/UPST/UPBC respectively.
    • Category 3: Candidates who have cleared the qualifying examination from an institution located outside U.P.; parents have domicile of origin in U.P. and who do not fall under any reserved category are eligible for admission under General/OPEN category. Such candidates have to produce the domicile certificate of their parents (Father or Mother only) at the time of counselling. Code for this category is UPGD.
    • Category 4: Candidates, who have passed the qualifying examination from an institution located outside U.P.; parents have domicile of origin in U.P. and who belong to Schedule Caste/Schedule Tribe / Other Backward Classes of Uttar Pradesh are eligible for admission against reserved seats of their category. Their respective codes are GDSC/GDST/GDBC. Such candidates have to produce the domicile certificate of their parents (Father or Mother only) at the time of UPSEE MBA 2020 Counselling.

    Given below is the list of candidates who don’t have to produce domicile:

    1. Defence Personnel who live in Uttar Pradesh after retirement or disabled during action or defence Personnel killed in action and their dependents settled in Utter Pradesh on the date of examination.
    2. All the employees of All India Services belonging to Uttar Pradesh Cadre.
    3. Defence Personnel who are not settled in the state. However, are posted in Uttar Pradesh on the date of examination.
    • Category 5: Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from Uttar Pradesh but whose parents do not have domicile of origin in U.P.

    Note: A candidate can only avail single type of reservation. However, female candidates are allowed to claim other reservation along with their 20% reservation. Candidates have to indicate their category while filling up UPSEE 2020 Application Form. A fixed number of seats are also reserved under the fee waiver scheme. These seats will be disclosed during UPSEE 2020 Counselling.

    UPSEE MBA 2020 Eligibility FAQs

    Ques.  What is the relaxation for the reserved category candidates who are willing to appear for the exam?

    Ans. Candidates belonging to reserved category are given a relaxation of 5% i.e. Candidates who belong to reserved category must have scored 45% in the bachelor’s degree.

    Ques.  I am 25 years of age. Am I eligible to apply for UPSEE MBA?

    Ans. Yes, there is no age limit for UPSEE MBA. The minimum age required is 17 years and there is no maximum limit set for the exam.

    Ques.  Under how many categories the reservation process of UPSEE MBA 2020 is divided?

    Ans. The Reservation Process of UPSEE MBA is divided into 5 categories :

    • Category 1: Candidates passed from an institution in U.P. and do not claim for any reserved category will fall under General Category.
    • Category 2: SC/ST/OBC candidates of U.P. who have passed the qualifying examination from an institution of U.P and have domicile of U.P. fall under reserved category.
    • Category 3: Candidates passed from an institution outside U.P. and parents have domicile of origin in U.P. and do not belong to any reserved category are eligible for admission under General category.
    • Category 4: Candidates passed from an institution outside U.P. and parents have domicile of origin in U.P. and who belong to SC/ST/OBC of U.P. can take admission under reserved category.
    • Category 5: Candidates who have passed from U.P. and parents are not domicile of origin in U.P.

    Ques.  I am currently residing in Singapore as an NRI, Can I apply for UPSEE MBA?

    Ans. Yes, 15% of total seat intake will be available for NRI candidates in various institutes under management quota.

    Ques.  I am residing in Uttar Pradesh, am I eligible for reservation?

    Ans. Yes, Candidates residing in Uttar Pradesh fall under reserved category but are termed as general category candidates.

    Hi Rahul, chances are that you might not have satisfied the minimum percentage criteria required for MBA.
